I was being slightly elusive because I don't follow it closely.

I had heard of it, but it doesn't concern me as eventually they will come to an agreement. Last I heard the Feds were pushing a forced arbitration. I don't know if they succeeded or not or the legal logistics of it, but I assume it will be taken care of eventually. If I start noticing major shortages at the store I will pay more attention.

While armchair analysts warn about war between China and Taiwan, the smart money is quietly betting billions that Taiwan will remain at peace.

Leading the wave of the largely overlooked long-term foreign investment are America's AI titans and Japan's top property companies. In the last seven years, foreign corporations have invested, or committed to invest, more than $25.259 billion in Taiwan, according to our analysis of Taiwanese government data and company announcements.

In the tech sector, companies such as Advanced Micro Devices, ASML Holding, Google (Alphabet), Micron Technology, Microsoft, Nvidia, Yahoo and others have invested or committed more than $6.27 billion since 2018.

Seems the people with the money do not foresee a war, despite what many on here are talking about.

China gains nothing by going to war with anyone, all that would do is cost them customers.

China will take Taiwan.... But they will never do it militarily because that would mean there's nothing left to take afterwards.

Also it would be defeat the entire purpose behind why China wants to reclaim the island. It's the commerce and economy that they have their eye on.... It would be stupid to destroy it.

The Chinese are not that stupid as the Russians are. They will take their time and wait for Taiwan reuniting with the mainland China on the Hong-Kong scenario.
