You're relying on semantics. The point is, the proximate cause of this tragedy is that Zimmerman racially profiled Trayvon and then followed him at night. When the kid defended himself from what he thought was a creepy perv, Zimmerman shot him.

If Trayvon were a white kid and Zimmerman black, the police would have taken this seriously and you know it.

Nope, using your own standard, you cannot say Zimmerman murdered Trayvon. They tried to prove murder but the physical evidence and sworn testimony argued against them, so they couldn't, and you certainly can't with your headlines and opinion pieces. The fully grown young man was in a safe place where Zimmerman didn't see him and could have stayed where his fear placed him, but he chose stupidly to attack. That turned out to be a real bad choice. Lesson learned, if you're an adult and you think a child molester is following you who intends to molest you and you find a hiding place, stay in it until the person you're afraid of leaves. Don't jump out and try to smash his head into the concrete, that's a stupid idea.

I've noticed that you not only excuse Trayvon for assaulting Zimmerman, you seem to think it's a totally normal thing to do. Using your standard, (love doing that) everyone is justified in assaulting someone because they THINK that person MIGHT try to molest them.

Tell us, how many times have you been arrested for hiding from, then assaulting people because you think they might molest you?

Ambushing someone who is creepily following you is not the best move, but again, the guy did nothing to identify himself or state his attempt. He should have called out "Neighborhood Watch". Then again, if he was competant at being the neighborhood watch, he would have known Trayvon lived there.
