I’m curious, it seems like Republicans don’t support testing. Why?

In the countries where COVID-19 is almost gone, they had massive testing programs.

The three real failures are the United States, Brazil, and Russia. The three countries that are pretty much run by a dictator.

but putting Politics aside, testing seems to be the only way out of it.

Testing let’s you know who has the disease and who doesn’t and who should be quarantined and it also leads to contact testing which allows you to track down people that are spreading the illness and bottle it up.

we know there’s only been a little more than 12 million tests.

you would think that almost half a year after the president was notified of this virus, we would have had 100 million Americans tested.

but for some reason, Republicans are giving testing a bad name.

you test for a drivers license. Your food is tested for bacteria. The water you drink is tested. You get tests in school to find out what you’ve learned. You’re even tested by God with strife and terrible things happening in your life. Everything about us is a test.

so why don’t Republicans support more testing?

This is what the president said about testing and this is a direct quote:

“We have more cases than anybody in the world, but why? Because we do more testing,” Trump said. “When you test, you have a case. When you test you find something is wrong with people. If we didn’t do any testing, we would have very few cases. They don’t want to write that. It’s common sense.

The US testing program is very robust, and is still growing.
You can see how it grew by scrolling down here, and tracking how testing develops, from only 84 COVID tests per day on 3/1/2020 to about 400,000/day now, so saying Republicans don't want more and more testing is a LIE:

America has had more tests performed for this Wuhan flu than any other country, including those with a lot more people like India.

President Trump is right.

i have not been tested personally, but I have no reason to be tested. No fever and no cough, I'm not feeling well. However, if I see the doctor, and he suspects a case of the COVID, I'm sure that he will suggest I take it if it makes any difference in my care plan.

What Trump said sounds correct. What's your problem with it ?

Secondly, before you make a value judgement OP, you really ought to have your facts straight. The United States, Brazil, and Russia are NOT "the 3 real failures", as you claimed.

The real measure of failure is the death rate ( who gets the virus and dies from it)

In this regard, the US has only 6% of its cases (as does Brazil), resulting in death. European countries who followed political correctness and called Trump's China ban racist (as did US Democrats), only to come to their senses, and then enact travel bans themselves, have much higher death rates, than the US.

The worst ones are >>>

The UK is at 14%, with deaths at 36,042, and cases at 250,908.
Italy is at 14%, deaths at 32,330, and cases at 227,364.
France is at 15%, with deaths at 28,132, and cases at 181,575.
Netherlands is at 13%, with deaths at, 5,775, and cases at 44,700.
Spain is at 10%, with deaths at, 27,888, and cases at 279,524.
Mexico is at 11%, with deaths at 6,090, and cases at 56,594.

Even better than Brazil and the US, is Russia with only 1% of cases being deaths, and only 3,388 cases.

I'm curious, it seems like CCP democrats support selling children as slaves. Why?

Testing is not a cure. Testing will not prevent anyone from contracting the disease. Testing is useless. Its sole purpose is to bestow the feeling that they are doing something. Like wearing a mask.

dean can you give an example of trump being a dictator?....

While Republicans throughout the country are united in their push to revive local businesses — in some cases at the expense of public health — they are divided on how to pursue expanded coronavirus testing, universally considered to be the cornerstone for the safe rebuilding of the economy. As senators Ted Cruz and Pat Toomey push for the federal distribution of rapid-response tests — and Democrats go to bat for a vast, centralized testing apparatus — other Republicans want to continue to let the states determine the course without the luxury of competent federal guidance. According to Politico, Republican lawmakers “argue that private companies are best suited to find an innovative solution to the testing debacle, not the federal government. In addition, they say Congress already spent money on testing in the previous spending packages and should see the results before spending more.”

Do you mean by firing all the inspector general‘s and declaring he can do anything he wants because there’s an article 2 and telling the states that he can order them to open the churches?
And telling the DOJ to go after his political enemies, stuff like that? Because I can think of a whole lot more if you want them.

but this is actually about his lack of testing.

Just to be clear, United States has 4% of the worlds population and more than 30% of the coronavirus cases.

This is where the United States is compared to the rest of the world. Considering that Trump knew about this virus last year and was warned what was going to happen by everyone from his intelligence agencies to Joe Biden in the USA today, trumps response to this has been a complete and total disaster. We’re just short of 97,000 Americans dead and we will reach 100,000 before the memorial day weekend is over. I’m not really understanding what you guys are proud of?

And just to be clear, Trump was telling everybody the disease was coming from China when New York was being infected by Europe. Trump was telling everybody all let’s protect ourselves from China let’s have a Chinese ban. He never said a thing about the disease coming from Europe. 3 million Europeans went to America and especially New York during the time Trump was crowing about his success at closing off China which he didn’t even do. Even that’s a lie.

They are playing party politics in downplaying the virus and trying to hide the effects of the illness..

All he did was stop Chinese nationals from flying to the US from China, he never stopped the Americans in China coming to the US.

Republicans are like that. The economy is more important to them than the disease or the lives lost, especially since it is older Americans and not the wannabe movers and shakers. Reminds me of "Girls just want to have fun" chorus. Some girls get the clap or other social disease and spread it around, but they do have fun.

How is South Korea doing? They “flattened the curve” after an ultra lockdown and massive testing. Then....? They remained on lockdown. So what use is flattening the curve and continues lockdowns? To keep everyone unemployed and losing their mortgage and life savings?

The only way through it is to work through it and reach herd immunity. Something every epidemiologist was saying when this all started, but then suddenly were taken off news media once the globalists realized they could use the crisis to destroy the world economy.
