Today, the left is full-on socialist/communist/marxist fascists with an agenda for all things obscene and indecent (you wouldn't have found a single Kennedy-era progressive advocating for men to use women's facilities). And back in that era - killing a baby was ghastly. Now, the left celebrates it - going so far as to start a "#ShoutYourAbortion" hashtag on twitter for women to proudly share their stories of having an abortion.

Poodle, if you want to go that route, most people in 1960 didn't think blacks should ride up at the front of the bus, and they were literally dying to get the right to vote.

Now, I know you are in your 20's and you learned your history in a fucked up home school, but here was the reality of abortion in the 1960's.

Everyone said how sad it was, and every woman who wanted one was able to get one.

The birth rate didn't drop in 1973 after abortion was legalized.

Abortion laws in the 1960's were like prostitution laws now. They were laws that were not enforced and largely ignored.

if #shoutyourabortion is anything, it's that women are tired of being shamed by religious nuts who don't give a fuck about those kids after they are born.

I don't remember Slick Willy Clinton (or any of his supporters) insisting that biology doesn't exist, X and Y chromosomes are "fake", and that a person's mental state dictates their gender.

Nobody running as a Socialist (as Bernie Sanders did) during the 1990's would have received more than 2% of the vote during the primary. Today, he beat Hitlery head-to-head.
