We aren't talking about what happened 4 years ago. What would have happened in a primary this year, is anyone's guess. Maybe Harris would have gotten it because as a rule, sitting/former VP's who seek the nomination almost always get it (Nixon, Humphrey, Mondale, Bush, Gore, Biden). Maybe a stronger candidate would have distinguished himself. It still would have put the Democrats in a stronger position than a last minute tap-in.
Yes, actually, they all do.
the wall was stupid, but that didn't mean you don't build fences in key areas. She never said defund the police. Police got more money after 2020.
I kind of appreciate people who can change their minds when presented with facts.
Hillary didn't get more votes than Harris.
Harris has 74,308,711 as of this morning with 48.4% of the vote.
Hillary's final vote count was
65,853,514, with 48.2% of the vote.
Harris did get less votes than Biden did. That was probably for a whole host of reasons. Voter Apathy, racism, misogyny, and the fact that without a primary, she didn't have the ability to build a following.
As an additional aside. She got more votes than Trump did in 2020. Trump only got 74,223,975.
I didn't go back to the job that disappeared under Trump. Neither did most people. While Trump does have the dubious distinction of having lost more jobs than he started with, it was only a 5 million job loss. Biden created 15 million new jobs. More than ANY President
