Here's more proof of why President Obama
had to take matters into his own hands and act on immigration since the Do-Nothing Republicans STILL won't budge an inch. But they did shut down the government. So, they can kiss their chances of capturing the White House in 2016 Goodbye. America Won't Forget Their Inaction and the Shut Down of the Government That Caused Many Americans Plenty of Heartaches.
Opinion: GOP left Obama no choice on immigration - CNN.com
Obama does not have the constitutional authority to change immigration laws. If he does, he has violated his oath of office and must be impeached.
There you go again with impeachment silliness. Only the president is not "changing" immigration laws,
he's following existing law that Pres. George W. Bush signed when he was in office that protects immigrant children who come into this country. So, don't be accusing the president of anything but doing his job because the Republicans won't. If you have a bone to pick, go talk to the Do-Nothing Lazy Republicans who STILL won't do anything to pass Immigration Reform. In the meantime, many innocent children will suffer due to their inaction. Even Bush could see that those children
needed to be protected.
And Gov. Rick Perry (of Texas) is very wrong in what he said when he went before a special committee in McAllen, which is in South Texas about 8 miles from the Mexican border and testified that the children need to be sent back immediately. No, Rick, that's another OOOPS! moment for you.
They cannot be sent back once they're here. Bush's law PROTECTS them fully for what could be more than a year or two, possibly more. So, as governor of your red state, Rick, Understand that already!
