The President Takes Leadership Action Since Republicans Won't!

Here's more proof of why President Obama had to take matters into his own hands and act on immigration since the Do-Nothing Republicans STILL won't budge an inch. But they did shut down the government. So, they can kiss their chances of capturing the White House in 2016 Goodbye. America Won't Forget Their Inaction and the Shut Down of the Government That Caused Many Americans Plenty of Heartaches.

Opinion: GOP left Obama no choice on immigration - CNN.com

Obama does not have the constitutional authority to change immigration laws. If he does, he has violated his oath of office and must be impeached.
There you go again with impeachment silliness. Only the president is not "changing" immigration laws, he's following existing law that Pres. George W. Bush signed when he was in office that protects immigrant children who come into this country. So, don't be accusing the president of anything but doing his job because the Republicans won't. If you have a bone to pick, go talk to the Do-Nothing Lazy Republicans who STILL won't do anything to pass Immigration Reform. In the meantime, many innocent children will suffer due to their inaction. Even Bush could see that those children needed to be protected.

And Gov. Rick Perry (of Texas) is very wrong in what he said when he went before a special committee in McAllen, which is in South Texas about 8 miles from the Mexican border and testified that the children need to be sent back immediately. No, Rick, that's another OOOPS! moment for you. They cannot be sent back once they're here. Bush's law PROTECTS them fully for what could be more than a year or two, possibly more. So, as governor of your red state, Rick, Understand that already!

They cannot be sent back once they're here.

An excellent reason to stop them from crossing in the first place.

Set up an immigration court and fast track their deportations.

True, why did obama allow them to enter this country? If he had enforced our border this would not be an issue-------------do you agree?

The point is he's not and that can not be explained away other that telling it like it is, he thinks he's above the law.

does that mean Congress is above the law if they don't give Obama the 2$ billion he plans to ask them for?

Nope, congress controls the power of the purse, nothing can be spent without their say.
Yet Congressional Republicans are doing literally nothing to try to arrive at a good solution to this problem. Is it any wonder the president now has to step in and take some action. He can't just sit idly by while this is occurring. Why is there no uproar about Republicans REFUSING to work with the president to get something done about this? They are to blame by their inaction and that's not what their constituents sent them to Washington for. They expect for them to WORK! If they still don't then they need to Kick the Bums OUT!

Then I suggest you get your rear end in high gear and contact Speaker Boehner and his Republicans and tell them to GET BACK TO WORK Immediately On This Important Matter!

thats not true, the house has passed several immigration reform bills, Reid has not let a single one hit the floor of the senate. any idea why? is he afraid one might pass?

He doesn't need a new law or help from the Republicans to do his job of enforcing current law.

He can't just sit idly by while this is occurring.

Sitting by idly is what he does best. And whining.

They expect for them to WORK!

I agree, Obama should get off the golf course and work at sealing our border.

"He can't just sit idly by while this is occurring."

Well, then he should get on with closing the borders like CURRENT LAW requires. If he needs to use the National Guard...current law authorizes that too.

You seem to forget that a wall was already paid for and the legislation said the Homeland Security Secretary "SHALL BUILD", then along comes your mulatto messiah said not so much and refused to build what was authorized. The ************ belongs in jail just for that boneheaded bullshit.
Careful! You are very close to Sedition or right on it!

LOL! Liberal idiot says what?

When Obama was elected the Republicans declared he would be a one term president. When that failed they declared no legislation would be passed.

Now they've declared to do nothing, absolutely nothing.

You're a ******* liar, the house has passed almost 300 bills that ended up in reids trash can.

How many were repealing obamacare? How many could survive the republicans in the senate?

Our country was founded through compromise. Today the fringe right has made that impossible.

Your version of working with maobama is giving him everything he wants, ain't gonna happen. My congressman is doing exactly what I want him to do, which is nothing till your dear leader gets serious about securing the border. Your dear leader is refusing to enforce existing law, what makes you think he will follow new ones?

And if LibProgs think it's seditious or treasonous to say so, then, we can take some small comfort in the idea that they are, by now, half-neutered already, with the House beyond their control, with more to come, as they lose the Senate this Fall, and as the Failed Messiah leaves office on January 20, 2017. The trick now is to limit the amount of damage they can do on the way out the door.

Our country was founded through compromise. Today the fringe right has made that impossible.

If your right and compromise that makes you wrong, we've had enough wrong already there has to be a point where you say no more.

How many republicans sat at a table to work out a problem and when disagreed with said "I won"? Your dear leader has no interest in compromise, he keeps complaining that republicans are doing nothing when in fact they are doing something, just not what he wants. Name one thing your dear leader has offered to compromise on, I can't think of one off hand.

Yes Obmaacare was passed on compromise, compromise with the far left and the last of blue dogs..

The far left does not want to compromise, that is why they ousted many of the blue dogs over the past 20 years in order to dictate.

Really? So, wasn't he the same guy saying a fence wouldn't work? We have immigration laws for a reason! He had plenty of a choice. He could have obeyed the law instead of granting amnesty to millions of illegals. He chose to flout the Constitution, and as a result left himself with no other way out.

This is his own doing.
You're conveniently forgetting that it was Dubya Bush who signed the law to protect immigrant children. The President now has to follow that law and protect the children until the courts rule on what to do with them on a case-by-case basis as per that law.

how many do you think will show up to their hearings?...

Can you show us where it's decreed that the GOP is obligated to rubber-stamp everything Obama wants?
