The President of War

The predictably unpredictable phase of trump's war has begun.

U.S. Sending More Forces as Mideast Conflict Widens

U.S. military officials said on Monday that their operation against Iran was in its early stages, with more forces headed to the Middle East, as widening attacks claimed more lives, rattled global markets and risked spiraling into a full-blown regional war.

Israeli fighter jets streaked through the skies over the Iranian capital, Tehran. Iran fired explosive drones across the Persian Gulf. Iran-backed Hezbollah militants launched rockets from Lebanon into Israel, prompting Israel to bombard the militia’s strongholds outside Beirut. U.S. warplanes continued to batter Iran. And three U.S. jets were shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses in what the U.S. military called an “apparent friendly fire incident,” with the crew members brought to safety.

The JCPOA prevented Iran from developing nuclear weapons. It was working.........then Generalissimo trump ended it because Obama helped put it in place.
We couldn't inspect numerous military bases in Iran, Dumbass.

Even Barry Hussein's insane deal let them develop nukes after 10 years, which we already passed, Simp.

And the story about 24-48 hours away from having a nuke was true.

Apparently Iran had set up a few hundred to a thousand new gas/liquid centrifuges and if they desired could have placed their 60% uranium into them and gotten enough 95% to build a bomb or two. They would have lost a lot in the process....but if they felt pressed for time....completely doable.

I'm not sure if they had the detonation technology....or minaturisation tech....but feasible that they did.

At any rate....they were completely undeterred from seeking nuclear weapons. And it would have been a dirty nuke with deadly radiation lasting hundreds of years. It would have slowly poisoned the whole world for decades.

Without the Tritium....nasty stuff.

Rubio said last week Iran was not currently enriching uranium. What else you got?
That does not mean that they were incapable of doing so.

When you have the centrifuges lined up, ready to go....but haven't fired them up yet does not mean that they won't.

The big question is why did they have them set up again?

That does not mean that they were incapable of doing so.
The imminent threat narrative went out the window when Rubio made that admission.

Pentagon offers no evidence to support claim it attacked Iran in defense

The Trump administration is making the case that it ordered expansive, deadly strikes to stop an imminent threat from Tehran, but is providing no evidence Iran had such plans.

The White House, amid the largest military buildup in the region in decades, has yet to explain to the public or to Congress what Iranian threat prompted the massive attacks that have upended the region and could draw the U.S. into another Middle East war.

The rationale is still shifting.

Because, if there are covert assets still in place (watching the enriched uranium and centrifuges) they do not want them outed. I wouldn't either. We want possession of that material and for it to be handled by responsible people....and I really don't care who gets it. Just so long as radical Islamic Clerics do not.

So you make another reason publicly and sell it.

What makes you think that they are going to publicly announce every scrap of intelligence they have, how they got it, how reliable it is, which spies gave it to us and how that information traveled to us?

Moussade is everywhere, they know things. They have been long standing friends of Persia for thousands of years. Purim is the holiday celebrating how the Persians helped the Jews survive an earlier "holocaust" type event. That holiday just happened too.

I don't have a lot of faith in our government or Israeli government....
But then again I have more fear and mistrust of the Islamic clerics wanting me dead just because I'm alive and no other reason.

Do you think going to war with Iran and the other reckless military actions Dotard has taken is compensation for his tiny hands?

The administration first tested out its justification more than 12 hours after the U.S. began bombarding Iran with missiles, drones and long-range artillery. A senior Trump administration official told reporters Saturday that the U.S. had determined American troops would have suffered far more casualties by waiting for an impending Iranian strike. In the same briefing, two other officials said the president ordered the strikes after he determined Iran would not agree to stop uranium enrichment altogether.

But the administration’s efforts to construct a case for war only after the shots have started flying has few historical parallels. The Pentagon has held no briefings nearly 36 hours after the U.S. military strikes, bucking a practice of doing so after attacks that goes back to the Vietnam War. And unlike past presidents embarking on major military campaigns, Trump made little effort to drum up support from Congress, U.S. allies or the American people. The administration did not try to convince the Senate to authorize the war, as President George W. Bush did in Iraq, or plead to the United Nations, as George H.W. Bush did to build a coalition against Saddam Hussein’s attack on Kuwait.

As they made their public case this week for another American military campaign against Iran, President Trump and his aides asserted that Iran has restarted its nuclear program, has enough available nuclear material to build a bomb within days, and is developing long-range missiles that will soon be capable of hitting the United States.

All three of these claims are either false or unproven.

American and European government officials, international weapons monitoring groups and reports from American intelligence agencies give a far different picture of the urgency of the Iran threat than the one the White House has presented in recent days.
