The President of Peace

Simple question: if the Venezuelan military were to enter the US, kill dozens of people to get to Trump and kidnap him, then suggest they'll now control the US, would you consider their invasion an act of war, yes or no?

Then you agree that any invasion of a sovereign nation using the military to remove heads of state is an act of war. Why ask the question, if you already know the answer?
Because Perception is Reality.

Some Venezuelans perceive that we are at war.

Most Americans perceive a minor blip-on-the-scope that barely registers as a successful National Guard training exercise.

And then we wonder why other countries hate us

You're hilarious. This is a lie. You would have been screeching at the top of your lungs about nation building and foreign wars and how we need to concentrate on America instead of getting involved in foreign wars, which always lead to disaster, blah, blah. And the reason why you'd be screaming about all this is because Trump himself has been vomiting these very statements for years on the campaign trail in order to accuse Democrats of all these things, and we all know there isn't a single magat on this board who hasn't parroted his talking points word for word and died on that same hill for them.
No I would not. It’s about time the US quit being wusses and patsies. Democrats should have been tough on crime, tough on the border, tough on our so called friends who do nothing but use us, and tough on worldwide affairs. And that doesn’t mean using tough words. It means tough action.

Just a shout out to those who tried to sell Trump as a leader for peace, who told us he was unlike the neocons and Dems. Are your hands getting numb from sitting on them? Will you grow a pair and speak up? Or will we just get more feeble excuse making?

What, there's a war?

No I would not.
Because you were never really a conservative in the first place?

Fifth grade wrestling fans love all the macho bravado.
Democrats should have been tough on crime, tough on the border, tough on our so called friends who di nothing but use us, and tough on worldwide affairs. And that doesn’t mean using tough words. It means tough action.
So tough.

Since no Trumpsters have the balls to say, "this isn't what I voted for", I can only conclude that they were lying in the first place. I'm shocked. And dismayed.

Does announcing a bounty on a sitting Senator (at the time) exist as a defacto act of war or not?

Arresting the head of an operation that smuggles deadly drugs into the United States? I voted for that. Not specifically, I guess, but that is the kind of thing I expected.

How could any president claim to be an "America First" president without taking basic steps to protect us from foreign criminals?

It was your vegetable savior whose Autopen made it official policy to arrest Maduro and announced a bounty days before Trump's second inauguration:

If Democrats (and "not Democrats") were smart, they would be praising this as a continuation of their own policy and giving Harris credit for it.

It's still an act of war. It's still regime change and nation building. All those things are undeniable. All things that Trump hypocritically criticized and railed against the democrats for doing despite the fact that it is republicans who always end up back in this well, repeatedly.

And then we wonder why other countries hate us
Some of us do... many others just don't give two $hits...

Most other countries would also intervene when they were being harmed and if they had the muscle to do it, yes?

They're as much pi$$ed at us for being so powerful and having the Luxury of Action as they are for actually Acting.

Phukk 'em... it'll pass...

Technically, yes.

Practically-speaking, not really.

Surgical strikes are different than all-out invasions and take-overs, yes?

Not in a Legal sense, but in a Real-World ( practical, everyday ) sense.

...It's still regime change and nation building...
I, too, am opposed to the US engaging in "nation building", in regions where their primitivism makes it pointless.

Although sometimes it is, indeed, worthwhile, to intervene, when a foreign power ( China, Russia ) is worming its way in.

I wonder if we "went in" because the Russians were sending-in military advisers and the Chinese were "worming" as well?

I'd rather have a handful of countries temporarily pi$$ed at us than suffer Chinese and Russian bases so close to us.

...All those things are undeniable...
Yep., Fun, ain't it?

Ahhhhh... so it's OK when Democrats do this, but NOT OK when Republicans do this?

It’s a personality cult. Now you know it.

Trump himself has heavily criticized US involvement in foreign wars, nation building and regime change. In fact he ran on being the president who would never do this! You must have thought he was a wuss!

Spoken like someone who has no clue about history. The US has a long history of miserably failed regime change schemes. how is any of this America first, I'll answer that for you, it's not.

Nah, you're a lying hypocrite, just like the rest.
