When our GOP loses this election, the far right contards (the Cruzes) and the hard right cons (the Kasichs) are going to say I told you so.

The crazy rights that just wanted to punish the regular GOP and mainstream leaders are going to pay a very heavy price, just like they did back after the 1964 election when they were sent to the wilderness.

I disagree. Trump supporters aren't going anywhere. The GOP has cultivated this sort of rabid wingnut and now the GOP can't win with them because they are repugnant and since the GOP harbored these idiots in the first place they are more than half of the GOP base.

Considering almost half of the GOP is solidly behind Trump, Kasich is dead in the water.

That's all in the future though. If you really think the GOP can move above and beyond Trump (win or lose, they can't) and that is what is going to save the party then why are you throwing your vote away? News for you, voting for a perpetual losing candidate is not saving your party from Trump.

If Trump's tired body continues to be as bloated as he ego, he may have to step down for health reasons. At the Mexican conference he just had, he looked bloated and like he was going to pass out a couple times. At his age I would suspect the onset of congestive heart failure? A 50 year old in prime condition would have trouble keeping the pace that both he and Hillary are jogging at nonstop.

I'm all on board for the second highest primary delegate count candidate voted for in the GOP primaries: John Kasich. That's really the only way the RNC could proceed without a revolt on their hands. Cruz doesn't count because he never could legally run for president. Kasich is next in line to the throne.

The only reason that might be true is that the GOP betrayed their constituents by not being conservative enough. The GOP voters elected their officials to oppose gay marriage and tranny bathrooms. But what sentiments would anyone have for their elected officials who sit on their hands while a perverse steamroller runs roughshod over their culture's value cores? Don't forget, 90% of the erstwhile republican base attends church. And the memory of Kim Davis is seared in their minds like a branding iron. They see establishment GOP as nothing more than sellouts who might as well be working for the DNC for all the substance they don't have on key moral issues. Every time a GOP talking head brings up gay marriage with a shrug and an "oh well", the republican party loses another 10,000 voters. Bank on it.

Of course they don't realize or care that Trump is one of the establishment; probably even worse of a sellout than most of the remaining GOP; or that he approves of gay marriage, has been to several and called them "beautiful". Or that he not only is OK with tranny bathroom stuff but has said these deraged men can use the women's room in Trump Tower no less.

Kasich did too, but you know, he only polled beating Hillary in the Fall and would've made a perfect Trump-substitute. But he gives orders instead of takes them from Cheney's gang so...no go...
