Water is the one resource we simply cannot do without. For decades, we have treated it as an unlimited resource. Now we are experiencing the results of those policies. Both surface water and the aquifers have been depleted to the point that we are looking for other sources. Sources outside our borders.

Hmmmm. . . maybe they should stop using so much of it for the planned technocratic rollout of global, world-wide technocracy.

These "sustainable development," and "green agenda," clowns are the same folks responsible for this.

Why else would they plan to foist "15-minute cities," on the planet?

This is the same reason these global rulers want to limit how much energy use folks are allowed.

I'm about tired of hearing...."well, it's complicated". That's what they want you to think.

I guess it won't be as "complicated" when you turn on your tap and nothing comes out. Which users get the axe first.

I've never seen the Shenandoah River (main branch) so low for this time of year. Usually it's just within it's banks in Dec..

Too many growing communities drawing from it.

It is not just the US, this is the story in all too many nations at present.

Well, "water worries" used to be mostly confined to out west but what with the proliferation of data centers in my extended AO it's become a real concern here too.

Data centers are significant consumers of water, with 87%-89% of their water withdrawals used for cooling purposes. They typically evaporate about 80% of the water they draw, with the remaining amount discharged for wastewater treatment. This high water consumption is a concern for communities, especially those with limited water resources. Data centers' water usage is closely linked to their energy consumption and carbon emissions, as they require large amounts of water to cool their processor chips and prevent overheating.

So not only do they use a shit ton of treated water they release some of it back to have to be treated again. That drives up costs for municipal water treatment which is passed on to consumers.

Who is to blame for this?

A - CO2 FRAUD

By misdiagnosing the fires, which have always been about lack of water. Land based humans have finite supplies of fresh water. Keep increasing HUMAN DEMAND for water and it tips into shortage.

But no, our "scientific community" tells us "warming" is the cause of the fires, never mind a "warmer Earth is a wetter Earth" and hence there would be LESS FIRES if Earth was ACTUALLY WARMING which it is NOT.

Who has opposed desalinating ocean water for 30 years?

CO2 FRAUd

If we had spent 1/10th on desalination that we've spent on CO2 FRAUd, we would not have water shortages in America at all.

There is often much water in regions (100 yr floods in the MISS river valley as example). Ground water is replenished. The Earth regenerates all the water needed. A truly renewable recource.

Big States like CA AZ want to turn the desert green for 40-100 million citizens and illegals.

They need to find a way to capture more water. But D govt and green hacks won't do it. So they are in-out of shortages.

The Delta Mendota Canal was finished in 1951 ... you're just now figuring out what that's for? ...

This was when Phoenix was only 100,000 people ... now it's better than 1.5 million ... all those golf courses and lawns are the cause of the problem ... ship them the plutonium-laced water from the Columbia ... keep it out of poor Portland ... it's horrible the extent of brain damage in that city ... ship to people who would welcome any of it ...

Too many people living in the desert ... not enough water ... it's not complicated, it's irregular ...

Industry used alot of water so limit their use.

Agriculture? ... that's how food is grown in the Imperial Valley, where a fairly sizable portion of your winter greens come from ... that's a national resource so the desert valley gets Colorado River water and grows vegetables all winter long ... worked great when Phoenix/Las Vegas were just smudges along the highway ...

Do we have too much land under cultivation in California? ... I think so ... driving on I-5 in the San Joaquin Valley recently all that open prairie land is gone, plowed and almond trees planted ... and the drought killed them all, almond trees where maybe we shouldn't have almond trees ... just a thought ...

The only solution is birth control ... spay and neuter, it's the right thing to do ...

So China's one child, forced abortion law was a good thing?

China's fertility rate is consistent with European averages ... 1.6 to 1.7 children per healthy woman ...

Maybe when you're old enough ... Mommy and Daddy will explain to you the difference between spay, neuter and abortion ... the first two prevent abortion ... child ...

Are you bemoaning the practice of only aborting girl fetuses? ... that's what heathens do ... child ... it's not forced, it's called a "retirement plan" ... the boy-child earns more money in Chinese society ... evil bastards ... why would Satan's minions do anything good? ...

Actually I'm bemoaning anyone who thinks forced abortions are a good idea period. But I get it. You don't take anything serious. You think you are being funny.

What ignorant strawman are you arguing with? ... the Delta Mendota Canal runs along the San Joaquin Valley providing irrigation water to the farms there ... when I lived there, the closest abortion clinic was Hayward in the Bay Area as far as I know ... I'm not a lucky man, didn't need their services ...

Have you spent much time hanging out at these clinics? ... you know ... looking to date loose women ... or as a customer? ...

No. I figured you wouldn't appreciate the competition.

Yes, we can't exist without water. Where is a massive source of water? The ocean of course. Rivers can also be harvested for a lot more water. Democrats' constant song is earth is running out. I want it to run out of Democrats.

You definitely know that area. I went to school most years living in Hayward. I did know that at Kaiser Hospital one can get one. However the time I know of, Kaiser shunted the woman to Concord.

Damn. You so damned stupid. There is no way that we could have financed massive desalination of water, in fact, there is still no way to desalinate enough to use it of agriculture.

Why, so you can elect more ignorant felons to high office? So you can shut down science in the US? So you can destroy more farmers? You Goddamned GOPer's are so damned stupid.
