The Politics of Supporting or Attacking Sgts in Captivity

One for whatever the reason abandoned his post in a war zone the other took a wrong turn into Mexico I'm more apt to be sympathetic to the one who made the wrong turn over the one who left his post. The one who made the wrong turn has more than paid for that mistake the military will decide the fate of the one who abandoned his post.

Again with the 'wrong turn' bullcrap?

This isn't about opinions or spin it's about facts. Misguided partisans ask Obama to intervene for Marine jailed in Mexico*-*Los Angeles Times

Here's where I agree: "Should Mexico release the former Marine? Yes. I think Mexico should, and I think Mexico will. And then every effort should be made to get this young man into treatment, and to separate him from his guns and ammo before he hurts himself or anyone else."

"Sgts in captivity"? It sounds like a kinky left wing movie. The Marine Corps wasted no time classifying Cpl Wassef Ali Wasson a deserter pending a court martial when he abandoned his post during the Iraq war. Why was the Army so reluctant to classify Bergdahl as a deserter (pending a court martial) when overwhelming evidence indicated he was? God only knows why the Army promoted him twice while he was AWOL. I don't buy Tamahoressi's story about accidentally straying into Mexico with a firearm but you have to consider that the Attorney General authorized thousands of illegal firearms to be shipped to Mexico resulting in the deaths of hundreds of citizens including two US Border Patrol officers and he is as free as a bird.

People followed the road(s) he said he took, Well marked and not like you portray things.

gawd, you're brainwashed

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi versus Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl

Tahmooressi not active duty. Civilian. Held by civilians because he broke laws.

Bergdahl active duty. In a war zone. Held by US enemy because he got captured while on an unauthorized absence from his post.

I should have just let this troll thread die.

Bergdahl deserted his post and went over to the enemy. He is a traitor. Characterizing that as "unauthorized absence from his post" is itself a lie.
Tahmooressi made a small error and the US government won't help him.

funny, his (Bowe's) peers see otherwise to date .. it's also funny dipsticks on a MB are qualified to pass judgment on military personnel

 @ RW idiots.

God!
The last thing that Tahmooressi needs is for Obama to secure his release.
His life and that of his family would be destroyed!
