Turns out the Qatari royal family has been trying to unload the jet for 4 years an had no nibbles, much less bites.

They are dumping an expensive albatross under cover of giving a bribe, I mean gift.

The royals have failed to sell the plane, which was put on the market in 2020, according to an archived listing. Giving it away could save Qatar’s rulers a big chunk of change on maintenance and storage costs, aviation experts told Forbes. Making Trump happy would be an added bonus.

Qatar, which has given away another blinged-out 747 and may have mothballed two more, epitomizes the fading demand for these huge, fuel-guzzling, highly personalized airplanes. There aren’t many who want to buy them, and many of the governments and royal families who own them have been trying to ditch them over the past decade.

Proves Biden was too demented to understand the deal. Too all the liberals on here, did I spell everything okay?

The ******* plane needs to be outfitted in order to qualify as AF 1 to the tune of 2 billion and three-four years

What a **** up
So the plane stays in Qatar.

Move on dot org.

I m know…

A 13 year old 747-8 series with low flight time and landings?

Take the gift. Reconfigure it for troop transport and it could be very useful to DoD for their deployment if war fighters.

What do you mean, bribe? Any gifts of any value that are given to the President of the United States are not the president's personal property; they are gifts to the presidency, therefore government property. If he wishes to maintain any of these gifts after leaving office, he has to purchase them at fair market value.

I don’t see accepting the plane as some kind of screw-up. It can carry 500 troops and their gear. It would make a good troop transport in case of war somewhere.

You guys are just too eager to criticize. Surely, you can do better than this.
