When wealth is built up the process can be slow and uneven. Most of the western hemisphere was inhabited at the same time from Europeans. They were rich as compared to today. Resources that they have are much more than middle east oil kingdoms. And many of them are living great lives. The last few decades are/were socialism plus and many more people have become impoverished. Perhaps we need to concentrate on nations in this hemisphere to become richer now. It will take time. Things can improve quickly though with some declines as the system of government changes. You guys bitched if Trump was an isolationist as a nationalist. Isolationism is impossible. Now he is doing something about it from his political side. America first means if he does this, we get our cut.
