The people of Venezuela should be the richest people on earth, but they are the poorest

Really? So socialism doesn’t work and destroys nations, yet your beloved government does all it can to harm socialist nations. Why do they bother?
Because socialist leaders won’t stay in their own country and just die off like they should. They have to spread their misery.

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” - Malcolm X

He really would be ashamed of you using his image in your avatar.

There is this thing called a dictionary, maybe start there:
2
a
: a system of society or of group living in which there is no private property
b
: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
Who's pushing for socialism in America today?

It could be particularly appealing now, as company boards have been green-lighting billions in investment to locate new resources around the world in a rush to increase market share.
But Trump’s proposal is far from a slam-dunk.

BELOW-GROUND RISKS

To start, most of Venezuela’s oil reserves, located in the Orinoco belt, are classified as heavy and extra‑heavy. These highly viscous grades must be blended with diluent and upgraded into lighter oil to be extracted, transported and processed. All this raises the production costs.
The energy-intensive upgrading process also increases the carbon footprint of these heavy grades, which could push up costs further if more governments start taxing emissions or raising existing levies.
Breakeven costs for key grades in the Orinoco belt already average more than $80 a barrel, according to estimates by consultancy Wood Mackenzie. That places Venezuelan oil at the higher end of the global cost scale for new production. By comparison, heavy oil produced in Canada has an average breakeven cost of around $55 a barrel.

US oil companies are going to want some long term guarantees before investing the necessary billions to get production levels up to their potential.

Ok but this is the last time. I am not your teacher. No reason for me to do your homework for you. Learn to use Google.

Yes, Venezuela was once among the world's wealthiest nations, ranking as the fourth richest by GDP per capita in the 1950s, thanks to its massive oil reserves, with living standards comparable to or exceeding developed nations like Japan, Germany, and France at the time, but its economy later collapsed due to mismanagement, corruption, and oil price volatility, leading to extreme poverty and crisis.

The Mayor of NY for one. You should listen to his speech, and his campaign
Mamdani is pushing for the government owning the means of production?

And where does it say that socialism brought this once rich country to poverty?

BTW: When a link is asked for, it's so that we're all working from the same set of facts.

Sure I can search Google for anything, but we need to be on the same page here.

Capice?

Yes. He has been pushing for this:

a
: a system of society or of group living in which there is no private property
b
: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

I'm watching a Ted Cruz interview and he just stated a stunning fact. In 1950, Venezuela was fourth in the world in GDP!! There is real world proof of what Socialism brings to a country no matter what the warm fuzzy promises may be.
So Lyin Cancun Ted pulled a stat from 1950 out of his former fleeing a storm Mexico bound ass. Who cares?

And Republicans are pushing fascism, right?
No.

Very much the opposite. The GOP has long pushed for less Federal control, or centralized control, and pushed for more power to go to states. The GOP also obvsiously doesn't support dictators....from arresting Meduro, to sanctions on Cuba, Iran, etc
The GOP obviously doesn't want severe economic or social regimentation, in fact they are often attack by the left for wanting less economic regulations.
Frankly, this seems to be more of the mainstream views of the Dem party, then anyone else. They are all rallying around Meduro, and the Dem party, wants bigger stronger centralized Govt out of Washington, and obviously they believe in forcible suppression of opposition....they tried to kill Trump twice, they tried to jail him and take his businesses, they killed Charlie Kirk, they firebombed Musk businesses.....

often Fascism : a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by forcible suppression of opposition

Unitedzuela and a flourishing nation. It’s good for the planet
Trump seized Maduro because he wouldn't play ball with The Don's scheme to seize their oil resources. If Maduro did, he'd still be in power. Trump is a gangster & that's how he rolls. Got it?

Dictators such as communist marxist maduro and chavez types murder the people yet the left champions these guys.

Then we go in and murder the people. Sanctions don't work to help the people.

Murder seems a little harsh.

I prefer for the more democratic way of how Trump handled it. First he took the evidence to a grand jury here in the United States, and got an indictment and court order to arrest Meduro for his crimes, against the United States, then he went in and arrested him.

Ending the years long game played by weaker leaders like Xiden and Obama that just allowed him to harm his own people, and frankly, as you put it, added to their harm by putting sanctions on them.

Trump really deserves more then a nobel prize for this heroic move of bravery, and beaming light of how a free society operates.

Obviously not. Socialists, like your hero Maduro, invariably become authoritarians.

My God, has history taught you nothing?
What means of production in Venezuela are owned due to Maduro?
