The people of Venezuela should be the richest people on earth, but they are the poorest

And where does it say that socialism brought this once rich country to poverty?

BTW: When a link is asked for, it's so that we're all working from the same set of facts.

Sure I can search Google for anything, but we need to be on the same page here.

Capice?

In summary, the suffering in Venezuela is widely seen as resulting from a complex interplay of failed government policies (often described as socialist or "state-run socialist"), economic mismanagement, corruption, a high dependence on volatile oil prices, and the impact of international sanctions.

Links are for those who need information by those who have the information. If I said, "Trump is the President." would you ask for a link?

If you know how to use Google, use it instead of expecting others to do your work for you. That is what you need to do to be on the same page. I knew Venezuela was the 4th largest economy. Why didn't you? You're lazy.

Socialism: A Case Study on Venezuela - The Policy Circle

In the 1950s, Venezuela was the fourth wealthiest country in the world. Today, Venezuela is poorer than it was prior to the 1920s, its infrastructure is deteriorating, and its economy has been shrinking.

The country of Venezuela should be the richest people in South America, owning some of the largest deposits of gold and oil in the world. However, since the Marxist Hugo Chavez took over that country in 2002 and then taken over by Maduro, it has become one of the poorest. The leader Maduro is the dictator Marxists like Mamdani are crying about losing power, because they want to do the EXACT same thing to all of us.

Now compare this to the dictator Gaddafi in Libya, or I should say, before President Obama overthrew him and later murdered. Unlike the Marxist dictators in Venezuela, the people of Libya had the highest standard of living in Africa.

It was also one of the most democratic states on earth. It is then ironic that Libya does not have close to the wealth in natural resources like oil and gold that Venezuela has.

So, comparing the two dictators, who deserved to be removed more? Is it the one Barak Obama removed, as Europe and NATO praised him, giving him a Nobel Peace prize for murdering Gaddafi, or is it President Trump whom removed a dictator that replaced a woman who won a Nobel Peace prize because she was expelled by Maduro? And to think, Trump will even give Maduro his day in court, something Gaddafi never had.

Trump is doing his best to maintain this state of affairs, as he steals Venezuelan oil and puts the proceeds in a private, offshore account.
