The party of slavery

"The Republican Party was founded in 1854 by anti-slavery activists opposing the Kansas–Nebraska Act and the expansion of slavery into U.S. territories. It rapidly gained support in the North, drawing in former Whigs and Free Soilers."

“Democrats wanted to expand slavery and Republicans opposed it.”

Oh, can't forget the Civil Rights Act, of which a large portion of Democrats opposed it.

Yet today, the Democrats would have us believe Republicans are racist, because that’s what they market attracting among others, the black population. Looks like projection to me, a distortion and distraction.

Rings like “Republicans are only for the wealthy.” Meanwhile the wealthiest zip codes are Democrats….Hmm.

A I've said many time before, you point out a current Democratic politician who shares the same beliefs as the KKK in 1854, and I will join you in running him out of office.

At that time the republicans were the progressive party.

Who is that now?

I suspect you have not been overly burdened by an extensive education, like most tRumplings.
List all the Dimwingers who switched to the Republican Party during the time your racist party was filibustering the Civil Rights Act.

Democrats, like the slave owners they were, get upset when Republicans try to take their free stuff.
They are protesting ICE saving underage BROWN children held as slaves on a weed farm in KKKalifornia.

Not J W Fullbright ( D) Bill Clinton’s Mentor or Robert Byrd ( D )

Wait, the two parties switched now? Oh that's right, I forget, that's the go-to when people point out the Democrats are the party of slavery, we simply switched hats.

Oh wait, the switch happened in 1964 you say. Interesting. Is that because a large percentage of Democrats voted against the Civil Rights act? Now these Democrats are Republicans right?

We just switched is all. How convenient.
Oddly enough no voter registration data backs these claims. Just liberal proclamations. Go figure.

You did not get any Traction in Democrat Politics ( particularly in the South ) from 1870 until the post WW2 timeframe unless you had the blessing of The Knights of the Ku Klux Klan .
