when I buy Ibuprofen on the shelf at the Pharmacy the pain is gone in 2 hours/3 hours. The Ibuprofen prescribed from my doctor is 800mg for 1 pill and the 4 pills that add up to 800 mg inside the store does a better job in taking away the pain

So explain to me again what the **** is the purpose of a doctor if I am still in pain?

Too often, doctors (and hospitals) are operating (pun intended) hand-in-hand with the pharmaceutical companies. Scratch my back, I'll scratch yours seems to be the order of the day. I've found that there are often perfectly natural, non-pharma-based things that will "treat" lots of conditions. I.e. both diabetes and hypertension can be successfully treated by diet and exercise. Many doctors would rather prescribe drugs.

It's the same chemical makeup so it must have been something else. Your stomach may have been full the first time but empty when you took the other. There are many factors that can effect how medication works on you. Good luck

Be careful. I used to take several (12-16) Excederin Migraine pills a day for my headaches. Didn't see the Dr. Don't like to go to them. I ended up in the hospital with bleeding ulcers and the scar tissue grew over the opening to my intestines. Almost died. They took a good portion of my stomach and I had to go through all of these tests and tubes going down my nose to my stomach to get rid of all the blood in my stomach.

Afterwards, they sent me to a neurologist and he took care of the problem. You probably need a specialist. Ask your Dr.

Ibuprofen works great for me as well. Just do not do what my dad did. He was taking too much for pain, and he ended up with a grapefruit sized ulcer that ruptured, and he came very close to bleeding to death. Had to have emergency surgery.
I used to take them a lot more often than I do now. If use sparingly, they are great...at least for me.

If it is your stomach that is in pain, I suggest Pepto Bismal Max. Tip: YOur stools will turn black for a short period of time. It's okay.
