"The One" - True Love ?

Staying together is a good thing, my hat's off to anyone that does. But the concept that there's just one person that's the right one is foolish. I've heard many people say it's the "one". Give me a break. The only way you stay together is if you both work for the same goal, not because of some mystical preordained force.

The only person people "fall in love" with is their newly born child the first time they are in your arms.
You might "fall in lust" or "fall in infatuation" but there is no such thing as "fall in love" in a romantic sense.
It doesn't happen. Love is something that occurs over a long time with that person.

When you're talking about something intangible, of course belief makes it real. It doesnt matter if the outsider doesnt get it, or have it, and who gives a **** what they think anyways? If its fake then who wants real, is how it makes you feel.

Bonzi, I have had strong feelings of despair and hopelessness in love and marriage before. All I can say is time works for you sometimes and I hope you can feel loving arms wrapped around you with a feeling of content and belonging from the one you chose.

I think if there is one person meant for you, they would feel the same. I really don't know, I have never loved someone that didn't love me back.....

I don't think it's possible to feel the exact same way towards any 2 persons, so, that being said, there will be, in your life time, one that stands out.... in the end......

Probably love there, maybe just not the same intensity.... but it's hard to pigeon-hole this. We're talking emotions, feelings..... and some just don't get to experience it at all....

People that feel it - returned or not - should consider themselves lucky......
I have felt "head over heels" but consider that infatuation, as it wears off - I don't know if it requires work to keep that alive or what... that is the part that mystifies me.....
