When I was growing up, a Lady was not considered fully dressed indoors without a hat of some kind. In fact, Catholic women were REQUIRED to cover their heads at Mass.

No insult intended to previous First Ladies, but Melania is the first beautiful First Lady. Jackie Kennedy was well dressed and elegant, but not actually pretty.

We have a few ladies in my church who wear chapel veils and their daughters wear veils as well.

It's beautiful. They usually have at least three children along and often are pregnant. I love it when you can tell which of their sons is destined to become a priest.
