There is now a nationwide campaign to boycott Facebook until they clean up the the hate speech, lies and conspiracies on their site.

The North Face is the first big retailer to join the boycott.

Facebook will lose money from advertisers. Nothing speaks louder than the loss of revenue.

I hope that more retailers join the boycott.

Snowflakes.

We all know this isn't about racism but about controlling citizens speech and trying to dictate to companies how they should run. Just as the filthy communist government does.

Call me any name you want. I tell you to F off if I don't like it. I don't need Facebook to coddle me and protect me. Twitter is full of weak owners and whiny users too which just allows them to censor conservatives because the Cupcakes feel hurt.

Weak.

You guys bitch when Facebook and Twitter try to stop hate speech because you think they are censoring the conservatives, now you are bitching they aren't doing enough. Which is it?

Can't help but wonder does this apply to all hate speech, lies and conspiracies or just those we don't agree with? People tend not be as concerned with this kind of stuff when it's something they agree with when this is the case they don't call it cleaning up they call it censorship.

You can't boycott FaceBook.

Everyone else is boycotting FaceBook due to the sheer number of fucking Karens, busy bodies, and level of censorship that already exists. You got what you wanted and at this point you are just throwing a tantrum.

That's why I just say leave it all out there. Unless they are promoting violence or criminal acts, just let people say what they want. Everybody is so soft nowadays. Thank God these creampuffs weren't around to get their asses kicked by the Germans or Russians.

The problem is, the Communists don't even lift a finger to physically hurt someone and the MSM and these weak kids are capitulating. The Commies must be wondering to themselves, "did we over estimate the West and end up losing the Cold War when all it took was a few bucks, some slave labour and funding a few whiny fascists (who pretend they are "ANTIFA") to run over their countries?

All to help the alt-left gain power. Sickening.

There is an old rule of thumb that has been around since before the internet and social media but it still works. Its called don't believe everything you read.

Simple live and let live philosophy. Everyday there is a push by the far left to further control peoples lives. Through media, TV shows, social media. They are literally producing a society of weak citizens, I see it with my own two eyes.

Every generation always whines about the former, but at no point did we see Communism being imported. Who started this destruction of the West?

Why pay for publicity when you can get it for free?

Is North face still a thing? I thought they had become the new Members Only at this point.

Conservatives have beliefs of convenience.

Their beliefs change with the wind.

Although FB is at liberty to edit its content as it sees fit – where such editing in no manner ‘violates’ the doctrine of ‘free speech’ – attempts to keep hate speech off of the platform is much like trying to keep the ocean back with a broom or playing a game of whack-a-mole.

And FB would be forced to address a question the courts have wisely avoided: what constitutes ‘hate speech’ subject to removal from the platform?

True, there are manifestations of hate speech that are clearly hateful, racist, and bigoted – but without consensus as to what constitutes hate speech it might be impossible for FB satisfy all of its subscribers.

No I can't boycott Facebook.

I've never had a account at Facebook.

So I can't boycott them.

I don't follow fads. When Facebook started I thought it was a fad. I didn't join. Then all the privacy problems and other problems developed and I was happy I didn't open an account there. As time has gone on with all the problems with that forum, I've stayed out of Facebook.

There are people in this world who actually have lives and don't need to broadcast it to the world.

Because of my career, I stayed off Facebook and twitter.

Just so we are absolutely clear then............you have no damn idea what the hell that you support and do not support with FaceBook. You just repeat what you are told.

O'Brien would be proud of you, Orwell would not be.

And let's make one thing clear right now !
The "hate" is coming from ALL sides ! So don't any of you fucking libs even try to claim the hate is all right wing !!

Who someone decides to advertise with is really none of my business.

So more left wing fascists pushing for censorship. How is this any different than any other day?

No that's not clear or correct at all. In fact, it's a lie.

I know what I support and don't support with Facebook.

There are several good reason why I am not on that forum. Just because I'm not on it doesn't mean I can't have an opinion about it or what is happening with it.

From what I can see, you have a problem with me supporting freedom of speech and expression of dissatisfaction with Facebook and their policies.

From what I can see you don't believe I have a right to an opinion or to support people who have the same opinion as I have.

Which means that you demand to have that same right but to deny it from me.

You can have all the opinions you want about anything including Facebook. So can I. It doesn't matter if I'm a member there or not.

You don't have to like what The North Face is doing. You have no right to attack me for supporting what they're doing.

If you can't have an honest debate with me, don't waste my time.

The only way changes have happened with Facebook thus far is from people speaking out and doing something to get Facebook to make changes.

I remember when Facebook started there were a lot of problems with privacy and being able to delete an account and other problems. The only way the problems were corrected is people spoke up. People boycotted Facebook until they made changes.

Changes that were for the good of people. Now people on Facebook have privacy options. They can close an account and other things that they didn't offer until their customers demanded it.

This is no different.

The people on Facebook have a right to speak up and do something about a problem they see with the forum.

People also have a right to make a choice on where they spend their money. If a company doesn't want to spend their advertising money on Facebook they have that right.

Are you now advocating that private companies can force other private companies to do business with them whether want to or not?

Why do you believe you have the right to tell a private company how and where they can spend their advertising dollars?
