We are about to see the greatest ever Earthquake of a WR Draft board in Draft history, between the preCombine rankings and where these kids go in the Draft, the ACTUAL Draft in April. Before the Combine, Caldwell was und-7th rd and Lance averaged about 5-6.
So far, Caldwell and Lance have moved into the "middle rounds," someone even suggesting Caldwell could be in play for Round 2.
An NFL offense needs a receiver to "threaten the top" of the defense, to keep safeties deep, require more than one guy to cover, to "loosen it up and make it more predictable." Randy Moss, TO, Eric Moulds and others were such players. You can't "fake" those. Guys who are good at catching a thrown football, and Lance and Caldwell both are, who have big frames and afterburners like they do, these guys are rare. Carnell Tate is a good receiver, as are Lemon and other. None of the top WRs are THESE TYPES, the Randy Moss TO types.
Both of these end up going First Round, Lance and Caldwell, that's EMH's call.
