And the Orthodox women I know don’t feel “controlled.” They are loved and respected by their husbands, wear beautiful clothes, and have strong and wide support networks.

Not always. There is domestic abuse in orthodox Judaism just as elsewhere it is not Paradise on Earth.

Nobody is stoning them, or forbidding them to leave the house unless a male relative accompanies them, the way Islamists do.

Yet not Muslim women are treated like that. Again you are making sweeping generalisations about a religion of some two billion individuals.

Sorry, but no comparison. You must be a leftist who jumps in to defend Islam, trying to show that the Jews and Christians are no better. You’re wrong.

I am trying to look at all this in a rational manner. Yes I agree many women in Islam live terrible lives just as some women within ultra-Orthodox Judaism Christianity live with the fear of abuse and violence, but not all.

If some ultra-Orthodox or Christian women live with the fear of abuse, it’s because of their lousy husbands. Nothing in those religions that condone - or require! - men to abuse and violate their women. You’re trying to “equitize” the religions (I suspect you’re a Democrat), when the truth is that Sharia law condones stoning a woman to death for adultery.

When a Jewish or Christian woman is murdered or abused, the murderer goes to prison, In Islam, it’s celebrated as an honor killing.

Please don’t make the leftist mistake of thinking all groups, as a whole, are equal to all other groups. Islam condones horrific behavior by men against women.
