The "Murder" of two Palestinians on Nakba day- FAKE!

Well, no, not since the last 30+ years at least. And that was before Islamic militancy was much of a presence, so that is all knew to me entirely. Not altogether comfortable with Islamism, but I realize I need to know more. Several Israeli-Palestinian Christians whose work I have been following seem to think Hamas is overall a force for good. I am reserving judgment. Like I said I don't believe too much in the press on this subject, and I just don't have enough other input yet. But I am willing to buddy up with the devil himself if it will lead to peace. Its just not worth losing another precious life just to gain more territory in the West Bank. Will ask for absolution later as I said.
Hamas is a force for good? :cuckoo: Perhaps you should talk to the US dept. of State and all civilized / Western nations that have classified Hamas as a TERRORIST GROUP. What will you say next? Taliban or Al Queda are forces for good? Ha ha ha.

I didn't say that quite. I said that some Christians, who obviously don't have an ax to grind with Islam, think that Hamas is playing a constructive role. For my own part, I DON'T KNOW YET.

Some Christians or those voices in your head? Ha ha ha. If you don't know whether Hamas is good or evil, then something is wrong up there. :cuckoo:

Have you read the HAMAS charter? And please explain how you imagine 'peace' is to come about from following a group of people committed to daily sending rockets indiscriminately to attack civilians, digging tunnels to kidnap children from kindergarten, etc, etc.

I think I did read the Hamas charter, but perhaps what I read was just excerpts. Militant groups often, probably always, include hardline positions in their charters so that they will have points to negotiate when they do initially come to the table. It makes for smooth progress at the very beginning, gets the ball rolling. As every salesperson knows, get 'em on a roll saying "yes" and you'll make the sale, right? And as I tried to explain once already, history has shown that bringing militant groups into the process transforms them into institutions. There is nothing to fear whatsover from TALKING to people. This whole thing reminds me of the days when Israel and U.S. both would denounce PLO and say they would never talk with terrorists. Even while they were saying that, they started secretly meeting with the PLO! They had to of course, otherwise there would have been no progress, things would have remained in stalemate and they would have failed at what they were trying to achieve. All the hardline public rhetoric is just to save face with the hysterical and somewhat knuckleheaded public who can't perform cogent political analysis. Israel and U.S. are probably making indirect overtures to Hamas right now.
And that's a good thing. You say you want the violence to stop, n'est-ce que pas? And you are willing to have it stop just as things are right now? Not one additional settlement established or Palestinian expelled? Good. There's hope yet.
As Mr. Netahyahu says," When a person tells you he's going to kill you, believe it". That is what Hamas says about Israeli Jews. It's in their charter. I believe it.

Hamas Charter

Well, that isn't a primary source, it has too much commentary telling us what we are supposed to understand from it, and it does not contain the entire charter, so everything we are reading is basically removed from its context. But I do appreciate your posting it. I will find the whole thing somewhere. and I didn't see where it says they want to kill Jews. You're not talking about the tree thing, are you?

But look, here is some good news (?). Read about Marwan Barghouti, who has actually been described as "the Nelson Mandela of Palestine." That might be stretching it a bit.... he founded Tanzim. Supposedly according to pollsters if another election were held today he would be the new president by a landslide. He has a cousin also named Barghouti who is described as the Mahatma Gandhi of Palestine! Okay, I'll believe all this when I see it and really intend to reserve judgment and keep my yap shut even when I am convinced I have it all figured out. The reason? I am not a Palestinian and I don't get a vote. Ultimately it will be up to the Palestinian people to determine what type of statecraft they want to implement and to duke it out if need be. In fact I suppose some of that is almost inevitable. If you read about the early days of American Rev, wow, they sliced people into steaks too, and some of their groups were pretty darned far out politically. My mission at this point in my life is to support the Palestinian people themselves.

I doubt that the Palestinians will enjoy the pleasure of voting for Barghouti. He won't outlive his sentences. And as for the Hamas charter, it's a pledge to destroy Israel. Good luck with that fantasy.

Betcha he is out fairly quickly, and if not, he can probably run it from prison. He can certainly get elected while still incarcerated.

I wouldn't worry too much about Israel being destroyed. My personal fantasy would be a whole new state, binational government, bicameral legislature, new flag, the whole thing, and although I actually don't doubt that WILL happen one day, I am not holding my breath. The reason I think it is bound to happen is that the idea of having a state that exists for the benefit of one segment of its population over another is pretty anachronistic in the 21st century. Imagine if the U.S. declred itself a "Christian state" or a "white state." (If anyone here is actually in favor of such an innane thing, please don't let me know who you are... )

Do you really believe all that spiel or is it just because that's what's handed to you to type in the boiler room?

OF course I believe it! I have been backstage at these discussions. They are very sincere. They do mean it, have put a lot of effort into elaborating this dream, and I have no doubt the situation will evolve just that way one day. It does preserve the Jewish state in an altered form. Aliyah could still happen in a limited way, Israel could still have a role in assisting Jews in other countries who are threatened.

so you can say you read it

is more about christians not wanting to suffer under hamas authority. They are "going with the flow. They don't have the numbers to oppose or speak out against hamas. I'm sure if you look hard enough you find something good, or at least not so bad, about any group. Even the KKK raise money for charity. One small action does not represent the whole or the group 365. A bad act leaves a larger and longer less favorable opinion.

So obviously, you believe that as well...?:doubt:

"But I am willing to buddy up with the devil himself if it will lead to peace."

You do realize how idiotic that is?!:cuckoo: there is no such thing as 'buddy up' with the devil! The devil use your innocence and will of good to manipulate you and think that a certain way is good for you, but it does it through lies. who are you 'buddying up' with? a mask? How stupid!

"Its just not worth losing another precious life just to gain more territory in the West Bank"

Or Tel Aviv. Or Jerusalem, or Be'er Sheva.

Because God knows, the only Israelis ever killed were in the settlements, not inside the green line at all:doubt:

That's one pill too many to swallow.

A good sane American might even consider that Hamas aren't evil.

Roudy, we live on a strange planet, I tell you.

Many cried about and demanded explenation regarding the "killing" of two Palestinian boys on Nakba day, and of course, some knew right away it's false, but here's the proof for deniers.

In the take, it's clearly showed how they try to stage the shooting, but fail. This video is taken about 2 minutes before the "actual" "shooting" video is filmed.

Notice the ambulance arriving to the scene to "collect" the injured before they're even harmed....:eusa_whistle:

Autopsy for Palestinian killed in alleged Israeli war crime | Reuters

(Reuters) - An autopsy was due to be performed on Wednesday on the body of a Palestinian teenager killed last month in an incident that a human rights group said might constitute an Israeli war crime.

Palestinian medics have said that Nadim Nuwara, 17, and Muhammad Abu Thahr, 16, were shot dead by Israeli troops using live ammunition on May 15 as they took part in an anti-Israel demonstration in the occupied West Bank...
...Palestinian pathologist Saber Al-Aloul said U.S. and Danish pathologists would be present at the autopsy in the Palestinian Institute of Forensic Medicine in the West Bank town of Abu Dis. He did not say if or when results would be published.

An Israeli physician will also attend, Israeli and Palestinian officials said.

Wow - so many doctors for a fake event.

For all you or anyone else knows the body could be that of a youth from elsewhere shot by the Palestinians in a revenge attack. Unless you can prove that he was there and was shot your post is just ISLAMONAZI PROPAGANDA and LIES

Do you really believe all that spiel or is it just because that's what's handed to you to type in the boiler room?

Many Palestinians have had sentences of multiple lifetimes and I think the longest anyone has served was 10 years (or 12?) it is unlikely he will be in for five life sentences, and as I said it doesn't seem to slow him down much.

15th post

That is truly stubborn denial!
I don't think the rest of us can help you, you are too far gone.

I think that's why they're doing the autopsy.
Israel is sending their dude, so fairness is the order of the day.

Not long ago these vermin were circulating pics of some dead kids allegedly killed by the IDF that turned up as 'proof' in two different countries some time apart; the murderous IDF *******s killed that poor family twice. True evil.

Has anybody ever looked into to Reuthers to see if they are tied to The Onion and are just spoofers? That would explain a lot.

The second I see Reuthers as a source for any story I quit reading and move on.
