"Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that [the roads and bridges]. Somebody else made that happen."
If he were referring to roads and bridges, why didn't he say "you didn't build them"? RoadS and bridgeS - plural. Them - plural. "That" clearly refers to a business - singular. But, as is true with many things that spew from his mouth, obama didn't say what we heard him say, he said something completely different.
I'll humor you and say he was referring to roads and bridges. So, joe-businessowner-taxpayer didn't build the roads and bridges? Somebody else made that happen? Orly? Who? Some other taxpayer? "We"? Isn't joe-businessowner-taxpayer
part of the "we"? Yet, obama specifically says '
somebody else made that happen', clearly implying that joe-businessowner-taxpayer didn't make that happen, wasn't a part of it. obama slams the business owner and some of you are just fine with that.
<blink, blink>
He then rambles on, clearly insulting and demeaning business owners' by saying "IÂ’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else."
Sure, there are a lot of people out there who are smart ... and? Clearly the business owner is also smart, smarter if he has successfully started a business ... why does obama insult them, mock them? And yes, others work hard, yet to the business owner who works hard obama smugly implies "so what?". He is quick to give credit to the whole but none to the parts.
obama embraces the marxists, he sought them out!, his mother was a communist sympathizer, he does not believe in exceptionalism for countries, and he clearly does not believe in exceptionalism for individuals.
