Nothing is as exciting as football and the NFL.
Fat people bumping bellies and pulling on each other`s shirts is exciting? How many points are scored on field goals that an average high school kicker can make? Golf, baseball, basketball and hockey are SKILL sports. Soccer players have skills, but most of the time they seem to be running around aimlessly.

I'd have to say:
  1. Watching a chess tournament.
  2. Hockey. Sorry, but there is no real strategy there, just split second reflexes to random motions hoping you can capitalize on more lucky breaks than your opponent before the buzzer goes off.
  3. Golf - again, more fun to play than watch; too slow.
  4. Basketball, much the same liabilities as hockey, plus there is all that rubber sneaker squeaking on that wood.
  5. Baseball. Too slow. Not enough action. Also, much better watching live than on TV.
NFL football is the ultimate TV sport because it has all of the camera angles, the instant replay and slow motion, plus the digitized screen graphics aligned with the field.

They take a one hour game and turn it into a 3 hour telecast. By definition 1/3rd of the time the ball is dead.

Not sure why that would excite anyone.

Professional soccer is much more action-packed.

And periods of action that fit American attention spans and advertisement capacity.

College football is better than Pro football. College basketball is better than Pro basketball. NFL and NBA are like watching people work. Sure they are good but they are playing with the mindset to have an extended career, the peak effort day in and day out isnt there. I dont blame them it just makes the regular season less compelling.

Hockey and Baseball are top tier in person but not great TV sports.

3 golf, hit ball.......ride in cart, hit ball again, repeat

soccer has action
baseball has skill
basketball annoying action
hockey is pure skill and action constantly

I watched the Super Bowl once. I got through the first quarter and gave up. Can't stand it. Might as well be watching gay porn for the amount it interests me.

Baseball is super boring, cricket too. A lot of athletics is also super boring.

Golf, super boring.

Soccer, I grew up with it, but it's getting more boring every year. Partly me, partly the sport.

Rugby I hear is getting more and more boring too.

Basketball seems to be sport for people with ADHD, they need a freaking basket to go in every freaking five seconds because otherwise they'll give up and go do something nasty somewhere else.

I don't watch sport any more.

The Super Bowl is boring because it has largely turned into a corporate event. Just watch the stands during most of the games. No real jumping up and down. No real constant yelling or applause. The only time things get interesting is when the game is a good back and forth, or one of the teams mounts a good comeback. And I can count on one hand the number of times that has happened since the 1980's.

For the 1/3 of the time the ball is actually in play, the NFL an College Football can be exciting...however for every 20 yard completion or Touchdown, there are 3 incomplete passes and two runs that barely gett the ball to the line of scrimmage.

15th post

actually curling is kinda cool, slide a granite weight but the sweeper guides it to knock out the other from the circle

kinda like darts with the bullseye but with heavy stones

I'd need to hit wiki on who made this game.......clearly likely Canada

Curling 🥌

There’s a sport!

I love women's curling. I have watched it in the past and just tuned in a small amount to Olympics.

Such grace, dignity, beautiful young girls preening about sliding on ice. No showboats, no dirty play, no endless replays, no flopping.

Big money, big market TV has ruined a lot of sports. Cant just watch games anymore. Every players life story has to be on NBC how they overcame the white man's racism to get where they are today. Eating nothing but day old chicken wings with 11 brothers and no heat in a studio apt.

Now its the poor Latino in Baseball. How they are all featured stars no matter what.

NBC even ruined Golf similarily when they bought the Golf CH.

I've had to quit most of it 100% unless I gamble on it. Then I will work the phone bet site with some games on mute. NCAAF or TMT NCAAB or NFL works pretty well.
