The Medicare cuts start 4/1/2025

The OP is 100% correct. This is the first step in cutting Medicare and doing away with full Medicare and putting all of us in advantage plans. After that, Social Security is on the chopping block. Can anyone say privatization. The MAGA sheep are just too enamored of Trump to give a damn out the truth. That is what sheep do.
what pasture are you in?....

YOu guys ready?

First to go is telehealth visits.

I'm not sure how that's gonna save money. I mean sure, they can cut the program but those people still need care, so they will need facilities to handle more in person visits. I can't see that being cheaper than telehealth visits.

Anyway, you can be sure this is just the opening salvo.

another billion saved by Trump! winning

Read Project 2025, Trumper. Also, you may want to read what those around Trump have written about Medicare, SS and Medicaid. Oh, I forgot, you believe everything Trump tells you. That is what good sheep do.

"We beat Medicare" -- Joe Biden
"Yeah he beat it to death" -- Donald Trump

Understandable.

I posted the requirements from - you know - the actual Medicare/Teleheath website.

Try going by that.

You posted the requirements for telehealth, but those don't mention what is to be cut.

The fairies are faking fear again
Naw, these jokers are all faking empathy, they don't really give a damn about anybody Else, the fear is real because it's finally dawned on them that the majority has finally figured that out.

It's virtue signaling without the virtue.

you didnt answer my question....how come?...

Correct.

I posted from the Medicare/Teleheath site what is retained (only 4 things).

All other utilization of telehealth ends, that means that current telehealth coverage outside those specifics is cut.

Correct, so it's going back to pre covid functionality

so it doesnt cost anymore than a physical office visit?...so why cut it?...
Telehealth = convenience for the consumer, convenience leads to overconsumption, it's a large part of the reason Amazon is so wildly successful selling consumers stuff they don't really need. Telehealth doesn't reduce the cost of or expand health care supply, health insurance has already detached the consumer from the actual costs, we don't need mechanisms to expand that state of affairs.

Increased demand against static supply = higher price.

Of course, that dynamic changes somewhat when we can actually start replacing doctors with AI models.

I know right.

Why catch, diagnose, and treat illnesses earlier when we can just make access to medical care harder.

BTW - how much does early detection and treatment factor into long term expense?
