The Medicare cuts start 4/1/2025

This whole thread is a lie ....

The truth is that this is just an expiration of legislation that was enacted during the first Trump Administration expanding telehealth services during COVID (2020), Congress extended it until 3/31/2025. In other words, this has nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with the Democrats not lifting a finger to make it permanent while they were in power. As usual the Democrats only care about fear-mongering the citizenry rather than anything to do with reality.

Surprising how Democrats never worried about this while they were in power, huh?

Exactly, the article given in the OP was nothing more
than fear mongering, and the liberals on this board just
ate it up like it was candy.

Sure, it's just the sophistry, virtual signaling and propaganda parroting that gets in the way of your deep understanding shining through.
You also understand the hypocrisy of Trump who said Medicare won't be touched, Speaker Johns that promised not cust to Medicare.
He didn't "touch" it genius, this is the expiration of legislation that EXPANDED telehealth services that was put in place during the Trump Administration in 2020 (COVID) and Congress hasn't renewed beyond 3/31/2025. If tribal monkey's-D were so worried about it, how come they never made a move to make it permanent when they were in power?

I love you hyper-partisan lemmings that think resources are infinite and that everything the federal government does is absolutely necessary to the survival of humanity, except of course when the other tribe does it.

Aren't these cuts to medicare the gop is contemplating?

YOu guys ready?

First to go is telehealth visits.

I'm not sure how that's gonna save money. I mean sure, they can cut the program but those people still need care, so they will need facilities to handle more in person visits. I can't see that being cheaper than telehealth visits.

Anyway, you can be sure this is just the opening salvo.

Gee, we survived hundreds of years without tele-health.

I know for a fact that there are rural, red states where providers really aren't that motivated to live, so I'd think telehealth might still have a place .......

but I thought the covid thing was so we could call our providers and not have to mess with a pesky office visit, but then they did those drive by and get the swab up yer damn nose .... not that I minded all that much, but they were swabbing ME in my CAR while my wife was inside getting infusion admistered drugs for covid.

That was just overkill. lol

Considering the source, probably not, although I suspect any waste, fraud and abuse @ Medicare is on the table for immediate deletion when such items get uncovered.

Why not wait until the legislation is ACTUALLY WRITTEN before crying about what's in it? might be a nice change of pace from "debating" smoke and mirrors invented by the "journalists" working for the various partisan propaganda rags.

It's a pretty safe bet that even Republican Congress Critters aren't stupid enough to propose actual cuts to Medicare Benefits in any legislation brought before the HoR and/or Senate.

but you maga guys have no more clue than non-maga guys. And the question remains, the gop has identified HOW MUCH they'll cut from lower income folks (without raising the cap on taxes for the higher earners) but they ain't saying how. So, pardon others for asking WHERE'S THE BEEF.

No, they haven't and the objective that has been put forward is not raising income taxes for ANYBODY, along with eliminating income tax on tips and social security benefits, the HoR and Senate have yet to put forward legislation, the only thing that's happened is a Senate Budgetary "Framework" which at this point is just a parliamentary exercise needed for reconciliation.

If you want to be taken seriously, stop being disingenuous.

$36+ TRILLION in federal public debt and annual federal debt service that exceeds defense spending, dealing with this situation is no longer optional, unless of course you want to see what a sovereign debt spiral looks like in real life.

I read that article of yours, It seems that whoever wrote it took liberties on what he/she thought
would be the result.
Trump/Vance has said that Medicare and Social Security BENEFITS will not be cut.

Nothing has been etched in stone. This is just an assumption from the fear mongers from the media.

Democrats FEAR MONGER because the idiots have no ideas or solutions. $36 TRILLION in debt and climbing yet Democrats squeal like stuck pigs over any cut.

Heck, nothing has even been scribbled on paper let alone "etched in stone" and yet the Lemmings-D are already fear-mongering about it.

No wonder this country has gotten so fucked up, half the people live in fantasy land.

My wife used tele health...and when are we going to be told of these cuts?

Once the benefit ends.

Either when you make an appointment and they tell you in advance, or

You attend the appointment, payment us rejected and now you get the full bill.

There are age and mobility benefits still in place but able bodied will have to go in person like pre covid

Very immoral. Wrong. She worked for 35 years. Now let her rot correct?

Tele health was cheaper and more affordable. Medication was prescribed without having to go in. This is going backwards in every way possible.

Easier not necessarily better when across the board.

So why cut it? What's the reasoning? It's difficult to come up with one.
I believe they stated it was overused because it was so easy to call a lot more than in person visits. That gets billed but that’s all I know
