The Masters - 2026

16 players under par today, 16 players at even par. I like what I am seeing on the leaderboard tonight. If we are to have a first time Major winner, Sam Burns or Tommy Fleetwood would be awesome. Lotta past Major winners under par or at even par. I'd love to see Xander, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose or Adam Scott take the Green Jacket this year.

If you make the cut at The Masters, you still have a chance to win at the start of Saturday's round.

Ludwig Aberg! He started 3 under after 3 but blew up in the middle of the round and came back to 2 over par.

Projected cut line is +4 right now. Bryson hasn't teed off yet but he starts Round 2 on the cut line. Some of the early tee times have shot good subpar scores to move up the leaderbord. ETA: Projected cut line just moved to +3.

I'm enjoying the Amen Corner coverage on Prime. You can hear the convos between player and caddie and no commercials.
Too busy at work today to catch anything live. Checking scores on the PGA website when I can.

I can't speak for anyone else, but as a (bad) golfer I watch this thing and dream of having the opportunity to play that course. I go through how I would play the holes, hit the putts, and ultimately score. In my case it would definitely be a three-digit number but it would be worth it.

Of course, the length of the long par four's would be a cruel joke to most duffers and especially seniors like me. But I could play from the little girls' tees, couldn't I?

On the spectating side, several of my favorite players have already shat the bed, but I'll still be watching over the weekend. Is it only me, but is Koepka ("Cupcake") the only one who actually looks like an athlete?

No pressure on Rory McIlroy now and he's on a tear.

One thing to keep an eye on is Rory got very wild with his driver on the back 9. He made birdies from the trees 3 times, but if his driver gets wild on the weekend the chasers could catch him. He was a magician today.

Oh yeah. His lead is not safe at the end of the 2nd round. Another player could get just as hot in Rounds 3 and 4 and get fitted for a Green Jacket.

I read this morning that Rory only hit 13 of 28 fairways in the first 2 rounds. Musta done ok on the par-3s to be at -12.

Keep in mind, when you are hitting the ball 350 yards, the slightest deviation from one's target is magnified.

Every year the announcers talk about how difficult it is to hit out of the "pine straw," but I've never seen a pro have a problem with it. Apparently Rory has it figured out.

As a golf fan, I hope Rory shoots par over the weekend and a few golfers get close enough to make it interesting.

Very disappointing Masters this year. McIlroy is making a mockery of Augusta National. This is not good for golf.

Kinda gotta wonder what his mindset will be today. Can't be too conservative with a lead like that at Augusta. On the other hand, no reason to attack pins today unless he's in a really good position that takes out most of the risk.

Rory is better than Tiger in my opinion.

Hot putter good irons. Only 24 putts? Meaning chip ins (like 17 great shot) or a bunch of one putts.

He is not Mcleroy of old. He is calm and confident at this time. Back to back is his to throw away. He of the SLAM already.

I used to pick him in pools and get so mad he had all the tools but could never putt and then rest of game would collapse with that confused look costing me money and peer respect. God did I cuss him in that final round when Angel Cabrea beat him like a baby seal from hole 1 to clubhouse. I gave up on golf!!! Curtis Steange was better!!!!!
