repeated in every blog I read, on every site I visit, and in many personal conversations. Libertarian minded people are pushing the idea that someone should never get a graduate degree in liberal arts or even attend college at all if possible. If a person does get a degree it should be in the hard sciences or they should go to a trade school. I for the most part agree with the reasoning behind this. In fact I think that Aaron Clarey makes a very valid point over and over again on his blog Captain Capitalism. He warns young people not to go to college but to look to trade schools and other careers that will be useful in the future. Everything he says there is correct. I see nothing wrong with his logic…I however disagree with him and I want to encourage people who are secular conservatives, Libertarian, and libertarian leaning to seek out higher education degrees in the dreaded liberal arts…especially history, English, education, journalism, film, and media.
