If you take time to read it, "The Hill" does a really REALLY good job of explaining why there are so many variables, it is impossible to honestly say the blue states are unfairly getting less than red states.

What you are experiencing is what psychologists call "cognitive dissonance".

The reason for this is that people who live in states with lower median incomes tend to pay less in taxes and receive more in means-tested benefits, than people who live in states with higher median incomes.

This is known as progressive taxation, and it's something you lefties are always demanding more of, not less.

Your REAL complaint is that these people are not sufficiently appreciative of what you see as your largesse, because they do not vote for your political preference in return for your generosity.
