The majority of states who receive more goverment funds than they pay through taxes are red states.

Poor baby. You can't handle the truth that California is financially less dependent on the federal government than MAGA states.

Awwwww...tissue?

Here's something you should watch happen:

You know all that whining your red congresscritters made about the Inflation Reduction Act? Well, it turns out most of the benefits affect red states.

Factory construction, green energy investments, etc.

Don't cry when you see those same congresscritters fight tooth and nail to keep all that delicious federal money as they watch jobs, jobs, and more jobs get created as a result of the IRA.

Jobs your cult leader will take credit for, of course.

oor baby. *Out of context, a reach.

You can't handle the truth that California is financially less dependent on the federal government than MAGA states. Yeah sure. A global prize, climate and geography. Red built California. Then came the internet, globalization, and Gore's pitch......1984 stuff. The weakest minds bought it. Say, Ca. is investing the people's taxes in the name of saving our democracy, uteruses and illegal immigration, tune of 10 or 100 millions, doesn't matter. That sound like a winning combo to you? Meanwhile, upon the left's full takeover, California is now losing population for the first time in recorded history, despite immigration, and being sold to foreigner's biggest pockets.

Awwwww...tissue? See last asterisk.

Here's something you should watch happen: Gee, I can't wait. I respond as I read this., I'll call it left-wishes for what's to come.

You know all that whining your red congresscritters made about the Inflation Reduction Act? Technically, it's leftists who do all the whining. Never mind yourself, ever paid much attention to your peers?

Well, it turns out most of the benefits affect red states. Neat.
Factory construction, green energy investments, etc. Right, cuz you know, red states soak in more EV than blue :abgg2q.jpg:

Don't cry when you see those same congresscritters fight tooth and nail to keep all that delicious federal money as they watch jobs, jobs, and more jobs get created as a result of the IRA. You can really tell by left-leading inflation, Biden and crew were ASSOME.

Jobs your cult leader will take credit for, of course. Who cares, your Demonicrats do that and far worse, all the time, and every word of their mouths. How come you haven't figured that out yet?

As it should be, the red states use the money wisely and don't feed illegals.
The red states are receiving more government money per capita than blue states.
If the blue states are spending more on illegals the blues states would be receiving more money per capita, they are not.
There is no logic to your statement
What you are experiencing is what psychologists call "cognitive dissonance".

The reason for this is that people who live in states with lower median incomes tend to pay less in taxes and receive more in means-tested benefits, than people who live in states with higher median incomes.

This is known as progressive taxation, and it's something you lefties are always demanding more of, not less.

Your REAL complaint is that these people are not sufficiently appreciative of what you see as your largesse, because they do not vote for your political preference in return for your generosity.

If this bothers you, you should advocate for a flat tax, and stop preaching "tax the rich".
I agree with your description of what is going on.

A flat tax would help those in a blue state more than a red stae, inaggregate, but the blue states continue to support a progressive tax on individuals.

The low income earners who voted for Trump do not relize the the progressive tax, he opposes, helps them.

Low IQ often results in low income. Low income individuals with a low IQ often vote for people that will hurt them.

Well if you believe that, you should advocate against a progressive tax, and stop complaining about the result of the policy you promote. :)

A flat tax would be to my advantage to me. I support a progressive tax to help those who are low income. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer in our country. That is a problem for all. Something has to be done.

The irony is those who are hurt by certain conservtive economic policies, the most, voted for Trump.

And those who are hurt by certain leftist economic policies, the most, voted for Harris.

Great, then you can quitcher bitchin that the policy you approve of results in the outcome you disapprove of.

Actually, the rich are getting richer, and so are the poor.

The irony is that the greatest improvement from the Trump tax policies went to the bottom quintiles, but you wouldn't know it because that group does not include you.

The people who benefited know it though, and they voted for Trump again.

NY and CA pay more in federal taxes than they receive in government funds.

I say we treat states like Trump wants to treat NATO nations. If a state does not pay in equal or more in taxes than they receive from the federal goverment we kick themout of the USA. It would balance the budget.

Let’s do that and see how it goes. Let the states run themselves without federal taxation beyond defense and take care of themselves. I’m sold.

That is true. They put what is better for the entire nation over what is best for them.
The exact opposite of Trump voters.

The United States has some of the widest gaps between the rich and poor in the world, and these gaps are growing:

The Trump tax cuts favored the rich over the poor. But who suffered was all of our children and grand children because they have to pay back the largest federal deficit for any 4 year President.

And the poor had the worst of it under Biden, because inflation takes a much larger bite out of their spending power. They went backwards under Biden.

The fastest income growth under Trump was in the lower brackets, which means the GINI gap was at least expanding at a lower rate than it did under Obama and Biden.

In straight dollars, yes. The people who pay much more in taxes had bigger tax cuts in dollar terms.

As a percentage of their income, it was the bottom 2 quintiles that received the biggest tax cuts, and also had the fastest income growth. The QBI was a godsend to middle-class, small business owners.

The higher income brackets benefited from a lower marginal rate, but much of that was offset by a reduction in the SALT deduction.

Almost half of the deficit under Trump was pandemic relief.

Deficits by year:
Trump
FY18: 1.27T
FY19: 1.20T
FY20: 4.23T
FY21: 1.48T

Biden
FY22: 2.5T
FY23: 2.25T
FY24: 1.43T
FY25: TBD

I've had this discussion a thousand times and I am not interested in another one. It is pointless.

My only reason to post in this thread was to explain to you, that the reason for the balance of payments differences you were bitching about was the progressive taxation that you demand.

One leads to the other, there is no avoiding it.
