The left is the force that has moved this country forward at every step in history.

Forward as in? More Government intervention? Useless Social Programs that do more harm than good? Higher taxes? More Regulations?

Sounds like we're heading in the wrong direction..

civil rights...women's suffrage... workplace safety....child labor laws... minimum wage... 40 hour work week.... rights of workers to organize.... environmental protection.... social security.... medicare (teabagger slogan: "keep your socialist hands off my medicare!"), medicaid, ADA, etc., etc.

Progressive liberalism flat out WON the 20th century and there is no doubt we will win the 21st Century as well. Conservatives can slow our rate of progress down temporarily, but they have NEVER been able to stop the inexorable march of our cause. It must absolutely SUCK to be a conservative in this era.... your victories are so small and so fleeting.
