The Left protests the arrests of prostitution rings in Queens.

Wrong. If I have to pay taxes on my earnings; they should too.
Of course, they should, but if they don't, they're still contributing. Your claim that they're not contributing anything is BS. If sex-work was regulated by the government, they would need to pay taxes like everyone else. Brothels would have to pay taxes and fees for permits. etc.

You had me at the first paragraph. You lost me at the second one.
If the govt can do it, why havent they done it? Why have they been trying for decades?
Govt is a failure and fucks up everything it touches.
Change my mind.

That's what the ruling class, your masters, want you to believe. It's often the case that they're the incompetent ones, living off of government checks:

Uncle Sam could practically eliminate homelessness overnight. Hunger, people not having access to healthcare, an education..etc. If the US government wasn't under the heel of wealthy plutocrats, it could completely transform society for the better, eliminating many social ills. Since our capitalist masters don't want the government to do anything other than subsidize their businesses, privatize and commodify every single resource, while stripping the working class of their rights and powers. You've fallen right into their trap, trying to argue their case, which isn't a really good one when you examine it.

I understand we subsidize business, and we shouldnt. I understand the ills that causes and how corporations run our govt. (also, you arent very capitalist when you rely on the government. There is another term for that ;) )
That has zero to do with the govt fucking everything up.
Healthcare costs = Govts fault
Dwindling education = Govts fault
Destroying currency = Govts fault
60 year war on poverty = LOL

Of course, they should, but if they don't, they're still contributing. Your claim that they're not contributing anything is BS. If sex-work was regulated by the government, they would need to pay taxes like everyone else. Brothels would have to pay taxes and fees for permits. etc.
I didn't say anything. I said paying taxes on the tricks they turn. All the rest of your excuses apply equally to anyone. There's nothing special about it.

So you legitimize it.
Hooking is the oldest profession on Earth. It isnt going anywhere.
So, these people that have increased crime in their respective neighborhoods because of the sex workers should just learn to deal with it or move?

Understood.

I don't think those people understand though or agree. They just want their neighborhood back and legalizing it does not make the crime go away. Strip clubs, for example, are legal with the same criminal activity attached to it. People simply don't want them in their neighborhoods either.

There's no war on poverty, that's fiction. None of what you said is the government's fault on the contrary, it's privatization or commodifying everything that leads to high prices. Without the government, there's gross inequality and injustice which leads to social instability and eventually violence. The pitchforks come out. Cronyism is endemic to capitalism, you can't avoid it. Capitalism always needs to get bailed out by public funds. The capitalists make their losses public and their profits, private.

Now within the next few years, there's going to be another bailout, to keep capitalism on life-support a few more decades, due to advanced automation and artificial intelligence. It's one government bailout after another, that's capitalism. To do otherwise leads to economic collapse at a national scale, hence why our government continues to bail out capitalists every few years, to keep the circus open and the clowns running.

I never said they shouldn't pay taxes, so what's the problem?

Rights, not raids. That’s what sex workers and street vendors in Queens are demanding, following an increased crackdown on illegal brothels and unlicensed vendors along Roosevelt Avenue.

“Sex work is work. We are your neighbors. Our lives are not disposable materials for your political campaigns. Let’s work together to protect each other,” Fran Yu from the sex workers’ rights group Red Canary Song, said.

Activists gathered on the steps of Corona Plaza Tuesday to call for the removal of police officers and State Troopers from their neighborhoods. The recently ramped up campaign called “Operation Restore Roosevelt” aimed to address public safety.

I have to say, at least the DNC is consistent as they protest Israel defending itself from terrorists and object to illegal immigrants being referred to as illegal and women killing their unborn children is referred to as social justice.

They have all the answers, don't they?

The law be damned, because they are the law.

Naturally, this is AOC's district, not that that surprises anyone.
There is rampant prostitution on Twitter.

If it was regulated, the brothers wouldn't be there. There can be a "red-light" district. Your claim that sex-work leads to violent crime is false. It's not necessarily the case, provided it's well-regulated.

Who gives a damn about regulation?

Again, a thousand shades of gray, no one cares.

Oh, we havent dumped trillions into poverty?
Stats, not platitudes. Try it.
Capitalism isnt being bailed out by the government. Stopping raping the meaning of terms with your juvenile pinko shit.
You arent very good at this "change my mind" ordeal.

The government caused the biggest transfer of wealth(from the bottom to the top) in history in 2020. But blah blah blah lick the boots blah blah blah

I have no intentions of changing the mind of a brainwashed old fart. The Cold War has pretty much set your brain on stupid when it comes to capitalism vs socialism. The government under capitalist control, doesn't develop the infrastructure to effectively eliminate poverty. If you're going to do something half-ass., don't do it. Do what's required, or don't do it at all.

Capitalism constantly gets bailed out. Without government assistance, we wouldn't be eating now. There would be a food shortage in peace-time here in the US if American farmers weren't subsidized by Uncle Sam. Capitalism as a "free market", has never existed, it's a unicorn. It always needs the government or socialism to function. Now thanks to advanced automation and artificial intelligence, we're going to be forced by necessity to adopt a marketless system of production. Another word for that is, socialism. It's coming, whether you like it or not. I have no illusions or intentions of convincing people like yourself. I don't write this for you, but for others.

You're confusing the 1980s, with 2020. In 2020 we had a pandemic, and when there's a crisis of that nature, capitalists are going to cash in on distressed properties and many other business opportunities that arise as a result of the crisis. You're the one licking capitalist boots.

You have no idea what capitalism is. Grow up.
