They (ICE) are targeting and harassing individuals who are exercising their First Amendment right to petition the government for a redress of grievances—in other words, to protest, speak out, or demand accountability.
So you agree that this action is exactly like J6.
One example: authorities often retaliate against those who record or livestream them. Despite attempts in some states to criminalize recording law enforcement, courts have repeatedly ruled that video recording public officials in public spaces is protected First Amendment activity. That hasn’t stopped some officers from responding with intimidation, violence, or false arrests. Whether through excessive force or threats of retaliation, the chilling effect on speech is the same.
Video is only 5% of the protester's activity. The other 95% is harassment to the point of extreme nuisance.
Additionally, ICE ERO officers do not have legal authority over U.S. citizens. If they detain, search, or seize individuals without a warrant or probable cause, especially when targeting protesters or bystanders, they may also be violating Fourth Amendment protections against unlawful search and seizure.
Any federal officer can stop any attempt to keep him from doing his job. For any reason! That is the law.
And when ICE agents use lethal force against U.S. citizens—people over whom they have no legal jurisdiction—it raises serious constitutional questions, including potential violations of the Fifth Amendments. No officer or agency has the power to act as judge, jury, and executioner. The Constitution guarantees that no one shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law (.
Law doesn't enter the picture in a real time situation. If it's you or me it'll be you first, kinda thing. No one has time to consult a lawyer
This isn’t just about immigration policy. It’s about whether government agents are obeying the Constitution—especially when it comes to the rights of U.S. citizens caught in the crosshairs.
So the left suddenly cares about the Constitution? Even with a capital C? (I was kicked off of DU for using a capital C - just sayin). The same Constitution they trampled on to cause this problem in the first place?
You do realize that Biden and Mayorkas violated the US Code every single day by leaving the borders open?
And now you're seeking redress through the Constitution? Suddenly you care about your rights?
Here's a hint: you'll graduate from this scenario when you care as much about my rights as you do about yours.
