MLK was a Man of Peace and, most forget, a Life-Long Republican until he sold his people out to LBJ.

At the time, it probably seemed like a good idea or, at least, worth the price. MLK was under no delusions regarding dimocrap SCUM (JFK was the LAST Democrat) but he cared about his people and democrats still held almost total power where the vast majority of Blacks lived -- In the South.
