we see and hear it on this message board ... we see and hear it on the leftwing MSM .. and we see and hear it in the the halls of Congress ..

the left claims that the US has no business striking Iranian military targets ! the left claims that the worlds biggest sponsor of terror isn't a threat ! the real truth is Iran has been a threat to the US, Israel, and the modern world for over 47 yrs ! the Islamofascist regime that it appears the left has sided with has been killing and wounding Americans for decades! why have leftists decided to verbally and politically come to the defense of a regime that is one of the most dangerous enemies of the US ..
Iran was killing Americans long before we ever dropped a single bomb on their Islamofascist regime ..

AI Overview

Based on reports and statements analyzing Iranian actions over the past 47 years (since the 1979 Islamic Revolution), Iran and its proxy networks are responsible for the deaths of
hundreds to over 1,000 Americans, including military personnel, diplomatic staff, and civilians.

Major incidents and periods of casualties include:
  • 1979-1981 Hostage Crisis: While no hostages were directly killed in the initial embassy takeover, eight U.S. servicemen died during the failed rescue attempt in 1980.
  • 1980s Lebanon Bombings: Iran-backed Hezbollah carried out the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, which killed 241 U.S. military personnel, as well as the 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut, killing 17 Americans.
  • Iraq War (2003–2011): A 2019 Pentagon report cited by the Military Times indicates Iran was responsible for the deaths of at least 603 U.S. service members in Iraq, representing roughly 17% of all U.S. combat fatalities in the country during that period.
  • Post-2011/Recent Conflicts: Iran-backed militias have continued to attack U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria, causing multiple deaths, including a contractor in 2023 and three service members in Jordan in early 2024.
  • October 7, 2023 Attacks: Iran-backed Hamas killed 46 American citizens during the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.
Other attacks included the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 American airmen.

Obama's deal was stupid. It was so incredibly stupid that Iran was actually honoring it. The deal mentioned nothing about exporting or sponsoring terrorism so Iran did that. The deal also allowed Iran to develop ballistic missiles which could eventually hit targets as far as the US so they were developing ballistic missiles, which they are now using against Israel and neighboring Gulf states. The deal also allowed Iran to, after 10 years, enrich weapons grade Uranium and make nuclear bombs. On top of that, Obama delivered billions of dollars right to their doorstep.

why are leftists so supportive of one of the most brutal dictatorships in the world ??

Overthrow a country's government, use your superpower capabilities to isolate and contain it for 50 years, fund and arm its enemies for 50 years, assassinate and bomb its people every once in a while for 50 years; of course you'll have a reason to bomb whatever you've ended up creating after that.

The Iranian Regime is the equivalent of you having Stage 3 cancer and your doctor saying "Well it hasn't killed you yet, so let's just keep an eye on it".

If we’re being honest it’s not only the left, it’s the horseshoe right as well.

Please stop this ridiculous "left" BS.

No major network is interviewing people like ret Colonel Doug Macgregor or Jeffery Sachs, or any of the most vocal critics of this war.

The "left" (as you love to say) are not opposed to Israel or this bombing of Iran, else you'd see these experts on MSNBC.

No major US news network is condemning Israel, none!

They make a big deal about two protesters getting killed in Minneapolis while Iran murders protesters by the tens of thousands. Makes no sense.
Has Chuck Schumer or Hakim Jeffries condemned this attack on Iran as a war crime? No, so WTF are you talking about? The entire US congress are supportive of Israel's insanity, almost every single one of them - there is no "left" vs "right" divide here, its an illusion and it has sure fooled you.

Senate Democratic Leader
Chuck Schumer has condemned military strikes on Iran ordered by President Donald Trump in March 2026 as illegal and unconstitutional because they were launched without congressional authorization.

House Minority Leader
Hakeem Jeffries has characterized recent U.S. military strikes against Iran as "unconstitutional and illegal," arguing that President Donald Trump launched an unauthorized war without seeking the required congressional approval. Jeffries maintains that there is "zero evidence" the United States was under an imminent threat of attack, which might otherwise justify unilateral executive action.

Well, first, you shouldn't use AI to make your arguments.

Secondly, we need to stop confusing Israel's interests for our interests. Seriously, screw Israel.

Finally, the conflicts we had with them are our own damned fault.

1979-1981 Hostage Crisis: While no hostages were directly killed in the initial embassy takeover, eight U.S. servicemen died during the failed rescue attempt in 1980.

The Iranians took hostages because instead of handing the Shah over for his crimes, we gave him shelter, and they were genuinely afraid that we were going to stage another coup. Those men died in a half-assed rescue attempt that the Pentagon told Carter wouldn't work and would probably get most of the hostages killed.

1980s Lebanon Bombings: Iran-backed Hezbollah carried out the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, which killed 241 U.S. military personnel, as well as the 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut, killing 17 Americans.

What the hell were we doing in Lebanon? Oh, that's right, the Israelis invaded it, and we had to put in troops to prop up their Christian Puppet against the Muslim majority. Let's blame Iran for our stupid policy.

Iraq War (2003–2011): A 2019 Pentagon report cited by the Military Times indicates Iran was responsible for the deaths of at least 603 U.S. service members in Iraq, representing roughly 17% of all U.S. combat fatalities in the country during that period.

Again, what the hell were we doing in Iraq? OH, that's right, the Israelis convinced us Saddam was making a bomb (he wasn't) and we wrecked the country in the process. The only thing that united Shi'ites, Sunnis, and Kurds in Iraq was their contempt for us.

Post-2011/Recent Conflicts: Iran-backed militias have continued to attack U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria, causing multiple deaths, including a contractor in 2023 and three service members in Jordan in early 2024.

Wow, confused again, are we? If anything, Iran helped us in fighting ISIS for us.

October 7, 2023 Attacks: Iran-backed Hamas killed 46 American citizens during the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

You mean the Palestinians who have spent 80 years being murdered by American weapons used by Zionists fascists?
