Housing prices are objectively outrageous right now. Daycare might be even worse. To young people, this is more impactful what whatever is going on with trans or whatever.

And it's gotten that bad.
Guys don't want to date a current or former OnlyFans/facebook model. They don't want to be used as a paycheck or just as a means for dinner in a nice restaurant.
They don't want to go through the hassles of being sued for someone else's child. Or being sued for sexual assault if they had consentual sex.
Dating as a young person has become fraught with danger. There's no time to really get to know someone because of the economic pressures and dating at work is verboten.
It's all gotten to be rather crazy nuts.

Daycare is $165.00 a week in my AO.....I think it's around $185.00 for infants.

The national average is $216.00 for infants.

Part time (picked-up at school and such) is $100 a week.

But you don't ask yourself WHY housing is so expensive right now.

For the last 30 years, we've had a policy of getting government out of the Housing Business and just giving poor people vouchers. Demand didn't change, but supply did. No one was building affordable housing. If you are building at all, you are buidling a McMansion to make a quick profit.

So my last condo association was bought out by a rental company, which went to a lot of lengths to get us to sell, and then fought a year long fight with the ones who didn't want to sell that is STILL going on in the appeals court.

Young women don't want to date a guy with no education or career path that lives with his parents and rides public transit everywhere. Possibly with a sloth tattoo.

I find it comedic that any young lady of respect would consider a guy like that.

40 years ago A guy who rode a motorcycle everywhere and wanted to be a chef was kinda a risky choice for women too.

What I'm hearing from the single crowd are many tales of what dating and relationship nightmares are made of. Of course the financial difficulties are there as well on an insane level. With the rampant, unrestrained inflation and wages not keeping pace....it's a nightmare. I'm having my own pinched wallet at the moment as well. But I've had many years of wealth building and established career paths.

Mortgage applications are almost non-existent. So is the inventory of available homes to purchase. Apartments are available but extremely expensive vx wages. (And it's not due to supply issues) Groceries have increased 30%.

However,
Unskilled and low skilled labor productivity is in the dumpster. (Which is a major problem)
What this means is that what used to require 2 labor hours now requires somewhere between 4-5 labor hours to accomplish.
Where some businesses get it and want to increase wages to match inflation they can't afford to give raises because of the productivity rates.

The little foreigner who worked like Satan was chasing him has disappeared and been replaced with an avocado haired tattooed person that plays on their phone all day instead of working.
