If you ever won or lost a fight in public, you could have been charged, whether valid or not. I darn well could have, but it would not have been sustained. ICE released publicly he had been arrested on assault charges. That usually means the individual didn't disclose this on his entry application and still received a green card or other temporary legal status. Lying on the application is grounds for deportation. Homeland Security has been deep diving in criminal records of other countries and comparing their findings to applications. Then going after offenders.
