I gotta have my history channel !!
I love the history channel! That and TCM and AMC (until they started with the commercials :( ).

We do have it available and the house is wired for it. I just chose never to have
it connected. I didn't want my daughter planted in front of the TV. It has worked out well, she has grown up loving to read.

Well, my 2 do watch TV, but it's more of a glance while walking through thing. And they love books. We read all the time. When they read to me, they flip through the pages and make up their own stories. I love storytime, LOL!!

Thanks Dillo! Sometimes I do wish we had The History channel/ Discovery/ TLC, but she has done very well without them. She's smart as hell and I'm sure that all the reading she has done had something to do with that. Now if I could have ever figured a way to get her interested in math all would be perfect.:)

hehe---my son would rather eat brussel sprouts than write an english paper !
I used to write my husbands English papers when he was in college :D Yeah, we cheated, but I love writing, and he has the worst problem with trying to find the words.
Now, he'd give me the gist, I'd go from there. Man, he made some good grades on those papers :D

 I love it..My wife and I would read to our daughter all the time.
We used our finger to draw attention to what we were reading and
before she could talk she would turn the page when we reached the end
without anyone asking her to. It was a shock the first time she did it.
