The Kids Are Getting It

The much-maligned millennials are seemingly setting aright some of the social ills of the baby boomers. From 2008 to 2016, the US divorce rate fell 18%.

They are getting married much later if at all, and having fewer children, but seem to be sticking it out.

On the other hand, the poorer and less educated are becoming less likely to marry at all. This could foreshadow social instability in coming decades.

I read a lot from folks wanting to dump on kids, but i don't see them as much different than my day,save for one thing.

I grew up w/B&W TV, corded phones, and Walter Cronkite,the world was 'spoon fed' to us

Kids today are bombarded with info ,raised with an electronic social consiousness where the good ,bad & ugly are right in their face

that the social norms swung with it all is jmho
