Can't help but feel that the Great Reset has begun.

The economy of the world was once based upon the US dollar. However, the US is increasingly inflating the dollar into oblivion due to the massive debt it has incurred. The only real way to manage the debt now is the inflate the dollar, and no, you won't be able to keep up with the inflation. If you try, the great casino, known as the US federal government, will take everything you have.

Secondly, the world sees how governments work now when it comes to freezing assets of truckers or even Putin. Everyone once trusted the dollar in terms of its value and accessibility, but now the US has shown the world that it can arbitrarily freeze assets of people on a political whim, so other forms of currency must be found like crypto.

As for yourself, assets that governments are unable to inflate away seem to be the best option like crypto or silver/gold, etc. Soon the IMF will probably impose a world currency anyway, and probably outlaw all other forms of currency. That would be my guess. But until then, what to do?

While I don't absolutely believe in the great reset I am still open to the idea of conspiracy theories. Well except utterly insane ones like earth is flat and the president is an alien.

But I can imagine the current administration so desperate to grasp control so they can never be uprooted that would let things get so bad for Americans that they could step up and say "fear not Americans we will fix this crisis and we will help you all by announcing our new federal government branch the federal bank and will get all of our financial problems under control by keeping all of your money. No more banks to rip you off with fees and high interest rates that keep you poor. Don't worry, were here to protect you".

In theory that's cool and all but I don't want to barter for every little thing I want. That in itself is a full time job. Plus I have to barter for things to use to barter for something else I want from someone else.

Money is the greatest barter. I can trade it for anything and I only need money, I don't need 3 dozen types of money to trade with 3 dozen people for 3 dozen different things. Money is great when it works right, that's all we need is a administration that will stabilize it instead of using it as a weapon against us.

People with hands-on "skills" will always be in demand.....In any economy.

It was very commonplace to trade on those skills in hard times.

I bet the average person born in the last 40 years could not barter their way out of a paper bag because like you said they simply won't put in the work.
