Zone1 The Great Feminization-by Helen Andrews

None of the below are criticisms. Again we are discussing a topic and I want to hear your views on this.

Thats interesting. why do you think thats part of Feminism?

I would submit Feminists feel abortion is a right for women to be free of men controlling their bodies. Mom who was more conservative than Attila the Hun had that view. Why do you feel that goes too far?

I will have to do so. Truly not familiar with that one.

OK, yes, I have heard this complaint in the past from other feminists actually.

I'd argue the numbers are declining for both women and men on that front.

The LGBT movement spawned from the Feminist movement.

What goes too far is assuming all women are for abortion on demand.

Studies I have seen imply otherwise.

EDIT:
Is this what you are referring to? From AI:
"The Life of Julia" was a 2012 Obama campaign advertisement that followed the life of a fictional woman to illustrate how government policies and programs from his first term improved her life from childhood to old age. The slideshow, which was widely criticized by conservatives as representing a "cradle-to-grave" government dependency, showed Julia benefiting from programs like Head Start, Pell Grants, the Affordable Care Act, and Social Security. The ad was controversial and drew criticism from political opponents and fact-checkers alike.

Key aspects of the campaign
  • Narrative: The interactive slideshow followed a cartoon character named Julia from age three to 67.
  • Key policy highlights:The ad showed Julia's life being enhanced by specific government initiatives, such as:
    • Early childhood: Enrolling in Head Start.
    • College: Receiving a Pell Grant to help pay for college.
    • Career: Having health insurance through her employer that covered birth control, allowing her to focus on her work as a web designer.
    • Business: Getting an Small Business Administration loan to start her own business.
    • Retirement: Receiving Medicare at 65 and Social Security at 67.
    • Political contrast: The ad was designed to contrast the benefits of Obama's policies with what would have happened under his opponent, Mitt Romney.
    • Reception: The campaign was met with immediate criticism and mockery, with opponents describing it as a representation of government dependence. Critics also argued that some of the campaign's claims were misleading or based on false assumptions, notes the Center for Public Integrity.

The real criticism is about the way it shows government replacing family/husband/partner.

Interesting. So in your view, thats the part that goes to far? Again, just trying to understand your views. I am not arguing the issue with you right not.

Yes, I would accept that as a maxim.

Agreed.

Maybe it's another branch that has gone too far. The problem with the progressive mindset is they don't know when to stop progressing.

Going back to feminism, the issue to me is when it went from "women can do what they want" to "women should only want to do what some subset of women want"

The "power-gurl" types seem to think men wanting women as home-makers and feminine partners means that men will try to make ALL of them be that.

It's why the Handmaids tale weirdness gets such play amongst some women.

These are fair points. I appreciate your clarifications.

This is an article currently making its way around the right leaning web. The gist of the article is that as women become the majority in certain professions and institutions, the way those professions and institutions function changes, and not for the better. The author sees wokeism not as socialist, but inherently feminine.

The Great Feminization

Some of the bigger points.
In America, women can vote to send men to war but, women don’t fight in wars.

We have a president who wears more makeup than his wife. The right really has no stones to throw at this point.

Why is it not 'weird' that women (who have never gone to combat) can vote for men to be conscripted into war?

"Feminism ruined this, feminism ruined that" blah blah blah. As a traditionally married man, im not buying it.

So you're arguing oppression. Good job Taliban!
Not really, I am saying men COULD take rights away from women but they don't. Yet women can take men's rights away by voting to conscript them into a war, and they do. Women have more rights than men in that case don't they?

They should extend the draft to them as well. Plenty of support roles in the military they can do, even some combat ones.
