The government doesn't give me money, it takes it from me

Seems to me most of the people who have a problem with Trump is he wants to cut down on the handouts.

But it's MY MONEY they're giving away.
Well you sir are playing the game wrong. First thing to do is start a non-profit to help the Chirren, Apply for fed funds and steal em. Anybody knows that.

If more people thought, spoke, and acted like you do -- we'd not have a society. We'd be living in caves throwing rocks at each other.

Nobody is giving away "your money"

May as well complain when business owners use your money - the money you gave thim to...

I'm telling you right now...if Trump cuts $1 trillion in government waste THEN gives it back to taxpayers in tax cuts the Democrats are going to completely lose their shit!

I love it when people say they want "free" health care, food, education, housing, and--well everything else!
I think of people who complain they are paying for welfare.

I usually suggest stop paying your taxes -- not one program will lose a cent

think about that

you people aren't even cogs, your the dirt and grime collected along the way

But I think OP has a point though. The government allocates its funds in a way that a lot of people are unhappy about.

A lot of stupid people want all the benefits of society without paying for them.

Define "a lot?"

People polled and interviewed on taxes have opinions and then when it gets down to the nitty gritty of what taxes pay for, people move, shake, equivocate, change minds, go into denial take opposite ....

I don't think it's productive to argue about exactly how many people are unhappy. Doesn't matter if it's 20 % or 40 %. Even if it's only some people (again, I know this is subjective), it's an issue. The government allocates its funds unwisely. Do you agree?

Define "unwisely" and how you could make things better

This is actually a good question. I have been thinking about some reforms, but haven't gotten anything concrete. It's a worthy topic.

Oh no, I can assure you that from the inside, the federal government thinks it is all THEIR money and you work just to OWE THEM THEIR MONEY.
Worst part is they spend far more than our money and borrow off of our future, while our infrastructure falls apart, Americans go hungry, veterans aren't cared for and homelessness rises.
Just think if we had turned all that inward.
We could have actually afforded that free college and healthcare. Progtards can't see that.
America can't afford to be the nanny of the disfunctional parts of the world.

I've heard that our interest grows by a trillion dollars now every 100 days.
We owe more in interest than the combined total cost of our military and the DOD.
