Actually, he said he was eskewing labels and didnt want to be associated with either party though he tends to favor progressive issues ow.

He seems like a bright young man with a promising future. I agree once he does enter the working world with a job, mortgage, etc,..He will be a democrat for life.

Also he states he's from a very republican area of Georgia, he likely sees first hand all the trailer trash living off of welfare, parroting fox, and blaming "da libs" for their miserable existence isn't a promising path to walk down.
