The Founder Of Modern Genetics Was a Catholic Clergyman

Christians and Jews have advanced science for many hundreds of years. Only recently have atheists started brainwashing the gullible, claiming that there is some sort of disconnect between people of spiritual faith and science.

According to U.N. statistics, in the last three centuries, among 300 outstanding scientists in the world, 242 believe in God.

Over 86% of scientists surveyed found no inherent contradiction between science and religion.

Ecklund and Park, Opt. Cit.)

On the other hand,

In the new study, Rice University sociologist Elaine Howard Ecklund surveyed 1,646 faculty members at elite research universities, asking 36 questions about belief and spiritual practices.

"Based on previous research, we thought that social scientists would be less likely to practice religion than natural scientists are, but our data showed just the opposite," Ecklund said.

Some stand-out stats: 41 percent of the biologists don't believe, while that figure is just 27 percent among political scientists.

An important take-away is that for many hundreds of years, the xtian Church would crush any dissent that it saw as contradictory to its dogma. Lives were destroyed by the church if one proposed a view of the world that differed from church doctrine.

It was only in the last several hundred years that Church brainwashing and influence has faded allowing real exploration of the sciences to flourish.

That is part of the propaganda of the anti religion cult started by Richard Dawkins with his book of lies.(The God Delusion) Numerous authorities have bashed Dawkins for his lies and distortions.

Presuming that the brightest scientists (broadly defined) find their home in Academe is a conceit unproven by any observable facts.

Here, hear.
And bravo.

"Heavier than air human flight is impossible." - Professor Lord Kelvin, President of the Royal Society, 1895

Orville and Wilbur Wright flew a scant six years later, never having earned a high school diploma between them. Their propeller was analyzed by modern aeronautical engineers and found to be 96% of optimal design.

He did great experiments that advanced knowledge of biology. Then his church told him that he had been selected to be head of a monestary, an administrative role that would leave him no time for further experiments.

He said, "Yes, Father," and that was the end of his science carreer. Take whatever lesson from that you will.

Because the theologian has duped so many, differences between the more and the less are a false problem. Secular faith is aptly represented in science.
