After Democrats place mandatory higher minimum wages........they will next need to implement Price controls since businesses need to make a profit to capitalize and grow.

Oh wait, at that point we're basically turning Socialist since they will effectively CONTROL the means of production.

THEY WON !!!!

Actually, the last guy to impose wage and price controls was- wait for it - Richard Nixon.

Here's the thing. We tried the "Free Market", and the end result was that income inequality increased, not decreased.

It's amazing. You attack literally millions on millions of people, insult all of them, claim that without you, they would be a 3rd world country.
yes, I know stating facts hurts. Hey, check out this POVERTY map

View attachment 419851

You see a pattern here?

Then decry Republicans not unifying under Biden. Gee I wonder why.... can't be the same reasons we hated Hillary and her 'deploreables' comment.
you mean the comment you STILL don't understand? She stated that most of Trump's supporters weren't deplorable, they were people the economy had left behind. The "Deplorables" were a minority, who could fit in a "basket".

Stupid left-wingers. At least if you insult me, I've given you a reason. But you insult absolutely everyone everywhere, and then have these laughable attempts to claim you are a unifying party.

lol :) Such dumb stupid left-wingers. You people never figure out why every country you are in charge of, turns to crap. Look at yourself in the mirror for once, and see why we're all better than you. Because that's the truth. We are just all flat out better people than you could ever hope to be.
Uh, guy, most of western Europe is run by "leftists" (Even the conservative parties of Europe would be considered liberal by American Standards) and they have far less problems than we have.

They don't have the crime or the racism or the poverty we have.
yes, I know stating facts hurts. Hey, check out this POVERTY map

Still doesn't change anything I said. You are simply terrible evil, disgusting people, that hate on everyone, and then wonder why so many hate you back, and vote for people like Trump.

I said in 2016, that the left-wing did more to elect Donald Trump, than Donald Trump did, it was puss filled scum bags like you, saying stuff like that, which did it.

And you are going to do it again, I'm sure. You'll make so many people hate you, that they'll vote for another Trump like character just to drive you absolutely crazy.

you mean the comment you STILL don't understand? She stated that most of Trump's supporters weren't deplorable, they were people the economy had left behind. The "Deplorables" were a minority, who could fit in a "basket".

That's not what she said, and that makes you a liar.

"You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. (Laughter/applause) Right? (Laughter/applause) They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it." -Hillary Clinton.

She didn't say a small group that could fit in a basket, or anything close.
"Half of Trump supporters" . That's 40 Million people. Which is nearly 1/4th of all voters in the country, she declared deplorable.

No, you and her, were the deplorables, for thinking that way.

Yes, Nixon was the last to put in place price controls, which had devastating results in the economy, and resulted in the Misery Index, and Stagflation.

It doesn't matter who puts in place bad policies. They are bad policies, because they are anti-capitalist. Being a Republican or Democrat, doesn't matter.

Here's the thing. We tried the "Free Market", and the end result was that income inequality increased, not decreased.

Yes, and that's not a negative. It's not necessarily a positive, but there is nothing wrong, or bad, or negative about inequality.

How does it help me, if the wealthy lose their wealth? Are you stupid enough to believe that magically that wealth will come to me? Because that has never happened anywhere in the world. When Hugo Chavez nationalized the oil fields and confiscated all of Exxons property, name one poor Venezuelan who became rich, or even improved their lives somehow?

I highly doubt you could find any such example, but even if you could, it didn't last did it?

Why didn't it last? Because when you take the wealth from those who created it... they stop creating wealth. Just like in France, when the had the wealth tax, the wealthy fled the country. Why produce wealth, if you are going to have it confiscated from you?

The only way to have equality, is to have everyone equally poor.

You can't make everyone equally rich, because everyone doesn't produce the same economic value. There is no way to make someone flipping a burger, make the same value as someone who created the entire store, provided dozens of jobs, and goods and services to the public.

There is no way to equalize that. Can't be done.

This is why every country that has attempt to, has ended up in ruins, because you can't make everyone rich. You can only make everyone poor.

Unless you believe that the annual wages of in-store workers around the globe adds up to less than $18 million a year, the ones who are doing the actual work already are getting more than the CEO.

There's some 22 year old running the deep fryer at McDonald's in Des Moines for $9 an hour. That's his only responsibility. The CEO, on the other hand, has a responsibility which greatly eclipses that of the french fry guy. If the french fry guy fails to uphold his responsibility, you don't get fries. If the CEO fails to uphold his responsibilities, you're goin' to Wendy's...
I think this is where you are confused... the guy who gets $9.00 an hour for the fries has more effect on my meal than the guy who got $18,000,000 and got fired for playing Hide the Sausage with his secretary.

So maybe the Fry Cook gets Living Wage and Mr. Hide the Sausage gets $500,000. That seems more fair.
No, it doesn't.

Compare the responsibilities of the two. One guy has to make sure he puts salt on the fries. The other is responsible for 38,695 restaurants.

He gets the big bucks because of that...

So this was your train of thought. "Donald Trump has no business being president, I'm going to skip over 10 perfectly qualified Republican Governors and Senators in order to nominate a racist game show host because mean old liberals hurt my feelings." Seriously. This was a rational thought to you?

Then when he proceeded to kill hundreds of thousands of people through sheer incompetence, cause millions to get sick, tens of millions to lose their jobs, caused our society to essentially collapse into chaos... and your train of thought was, "Boy, that showed 'em. I'm voting for that guy again."

Yes, I really do think that generations of inbreeding have made you people in the Red States stupid.

Moving on.

That's not what she said, and that makes you a liar.
Let's look at her WHOLE statement.

I know there are only 60 days left to make our case — and don’t get complacent, don’t see the latest outrageous, offensive, inappropriate comment and think well he’s done this time. We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?

[Laughter/applause]

The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people — now how 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America. But the other basket — and I know this because I see friends from all over America here — I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas — as well as, you know, New York and California — but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they’re just desperate for change. It doesn’t really even matter where it comes from. They don’t buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won’t wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroine, feel like they’re in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.

Was she clumsy by using the word "Half". Um, yeah, if you want to fixate on JUST THAT WORD and ignore the rest, um, sure.

The irony is, since Tricky Dick the GOP has been stoking racism of the white working class vs. undermining it with union busting, right to work, and just to be fair "Free Trade". Trump is just the logical conclusion of being open about the racism rather than subtle about it... And that's Deplorable.

Uh, the last guy at McDonalds was fired for fucking the secretary... that's how "responsible" he was. McDonald's have been in decline for years... mostly due to bad management and awful practices against their workers.

What the last guy was let go for is inconsequential.

What "awful practices" are you referring to?

McDonald's have been in decline for years... mostly due to bad management and awful practices against their workers.
That's interesting.

Esterbrook was appointed chief executive of McDonald's in 2015.

He is widely credited with revitalising the firm's menus and restaurants, by remodelling stores and using better ingredients. The value of its shares more than doubled during his tenure in the US.
Under his leadership, McDonald's also expanded its delivery and mobile payment options to emphasize convenience.

I dunno', man, sounds like he was doing a pretty damn good job...

Well, yeah, it kind of is... it makes the company look bad and it's against their own rules..

Paying your people shit... and then encouraging them to go on welfare.

That's interesting.

Esterbrook was appointed chief executive of McDonald's in 2015.
So you just ignored all those articles about closing stores and shrinking market share... that's nice.

Wow, you really do hand stands to justify not paying some kid a living wage.

For me personally? I voted for the constitutionalist party. I was absolutely convinced that Trump was going to be a horrible president, that would ban guns, promote abortion, jack up taxes for free health care, and free education, and free everything else. I had no faith in Trump whatsoever, and of course he has a horrible track record with women, and I didn't like his morals.

But Trump did have one bright side that everyone latched onto. He had no problem calling out trash like you, for what you honestly and truly are.

That's why he was elected. I predicted this. Even though I personally did not vote for Trump, I predicted he could win, because you people are such disgusting trash, and Hillary was just plain evil. There is no more corrupt politician in modern history, than Hillary. Nixon looks like a Catholic Nun compared to Hillary.

And I was right.

Trump did win. And it's been a complete blast watching him drive you people absolutely insane. It's honestly been utterly fun for me.

Plus he's governed pretty darn well.

Was she clumsy by using the word "Half". Um, yeah, if you want to fixate on JUST THAT WORD and ignore the rest, um, sure.

Nothing in what you posted, contradicted anything I said. She claimed 40 million people to be deplorables, which was roughly 1/4th of the entire voting population. Pretty much what I said.

You just justified everything we've been saying about the Deploreables comment.

I love you idiots.... because it's fun watching you guys trip over your own statements.

"Hillary didn't mean it that way....... BUT *I* DO!"

LOL XD Right right.... so you really our a disgusting pile of putrid scum, that we all knew you were. Thanks for clarifying.

That's not true. I lived on $10/hour here in Columbus Ohio.
I know people who lived on $15,000 a year.

You can live on very little.

The problem is, when you jack up the minimum wage, and you don't have skills worth the higher wage.... you end up earning zero, because you lose your job.

No one can live on Zero.

Not true.

The reason their sales are in decline, is because they have to increase their prices, to pay for higher minimum wages in all the major cities.

Shocking truth: (write this down) ... when you increase price..... you lower sales. *gasp*.

Which is what we've been saying this entire thread. The minimum wage eliminates jobs.... because those increases in wage costs, all have to be passed onto the consumer, which then reduces the number of consumers.

Lower sales, results in fewer jobs. This is normal.

Again, not sure why you guys keep going to that as your example. You leave out the part where the US engaged in a 20 year economic war against Venezuela for picking an economic system we didn't like. And much like your inbred, white trash southerner doubling down on the racism, they've doubled down on the socialism.

This is why every country that has attempt to, has ended up in ruins, because you can't make everyone rich. You can only make everyone poor.
Uh, sorry, man, the Europeans do this just fine, and they have NOWHERE NEAR our levels of poverty and crime.
Not true. We have not engaged in a 20 year economic war.

Even if we had.... You realize that Venezuela RIGHT NOW.... is selling their oil? Right now, Venezuela is exporting oil.

So if they are still selling oil, how do you blame their decline in oil production, on the US?

Uh, sorry, man, the Europeans do this just fine, and they have NOWHERE NEAR our levels of poverty and crime.

Europeans do this just fine? Are you kidding?

The Rich people in Europe are filithy Rich. The poor people in Europe, are poor.

They do not have the Rich paying for the Poor in Europe. The poor are paying for the poor in Europe.

There is huge inequality in Europe.

Example: Danish company the Lego Group, founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen.

Screenshot_2020-11-24 Agnete Kirk Thinggaard - Google Search.png

This is Agnete, the great grand daughter of Ole Kirk, and is worth $6.8 Billion. She own her own pony ranch, because that what she does with all her spare time.

The average size of a house in Denmark is 50 sq Meters.... that's 540 Sq Ft. That's for a family.
The US average right now is 1,600 Sq Ft.

What is my point? Do you think that Agnete Kirk with her $6.8 Billion dollars is living in an average 540 Sq Ft house that 99% of the Danish people are living in?

No.

Screenshot_2020-11-24 Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen home - Google Search.png

It's a massive mansion. And that doesn't include their yachts, and resort houses, and London pent houses.

The poor in Denmark are poor. The rich in Denmark... are RICH.

Where is this "equality" you claim they have?

And where are the rich paying for the poor? Where? Not happening.

Less than 40% last I looked, of the Danish population owned a car.
Less than 60% own a house.

You want to know why? Because they don't have the money to pay for stuff. The poorest people in Denmark pay 50% of their income in taxes.

And then, with the 50% of their income they actually keep, they pay 25% tax on everything they buy.

And then, they pay even higher taxes on any of those "luxury goods". Even those that have a car, can't hardly afford to drive it. You know how much gasoline is in Denmark? $6.50 a gallon right now in Denmark.

You know why? Taxes.

You know how much Danish people pay for electricity? 37¢ per kWh. Or almost 4 times how much we do in the US.

You know why? Taxes.

Who is paying for all the government programs and free stuff the poor and middle class of Denmark get?

The poor and middle class. Not the Rich.

That's a fact. So, no Europe is not an example of socialism, or rich paying for the poor, nor is it an example of equality or anything even close.

Actually, that's exactly what it was intended to be, so that every recession wasn't an excuse for employers to lay off all the current staff and hire a new staff who will work cheaper.

It's gotten watered down by not raising in to match inflation.
