It was just reported on the news that the felon with the illegal gun who killed Kate Steinle is facing jail time for being a felon with an illegal gun......16 months......maybe 3 years....

And this is why we have gun crime in the United States.....repeat offenders, felons, caught with guns, let alone killing an innocent person with that gun....is getting under 3 years.....

If anti gunners actually cared about actual gun crime...they would push for 30 year sentences for felons caught with illegal guns....but they don't care about crime, they just hate gun owners.

Here you go....the left wing bible.....

Undocumented Immigrant Acquitted in Killing of Kate Steinle

The man, Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, 45, who was also found not guilty of assault with a firearm, was convicted only of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The sentence for possession of a firearm could range from 16 months to three years.

Mr. Zarate has already spent two years in county jail awaiting trial. A sentencing date had not yet been set.

This is why we have gun crime in the United States.......felons with guns get less than 2 years in jail..........and then the anti gunners bitch about normal people who carry guns for self defense......

A man deported five times, comes back to America and kills an American citizen. He now walks (he did serve two years during this process).

You either have a country or you don't. Borders or none. I've said it numerous times, legal immigration is a positive, especially when you choose ambition, hard working, talented and/or educated citizens who share American values. If you don't follow such a basic premise you invite trouble.

Or more like we realize, punishing someone after they've committed a crime is like closing the barn door after the horses have left.

No, moron.....that is how a society with laws works....in your dreamed of police state, you can lock up innocent people all day long....here, we have to wait till they actually break the law....

Okay, so if we have a law that says that you can't flood the streets with guns where some klutz finds one on a pier and it goes off, then the law works, right?

you know, the way the rest of the world does it and we don't have these problems?

You mean Britain...where their gun crime has gone up 89% 10 years after they banned guns....and 27% last year, and 42% in London, all by itself...where gun crime is going up in Australia too....you mean like that?

He didn't "find" the gun...it was stolen from a government agent...you know, the guys you think should be the only ones with guns....

Yes, I mean Britain where they only have 50 gun homicides a year compared to our 11K.

you use gun murder because Britain had a low gun murder rate before they banned guns....now, their gun murder rate is higher than it was before they banned guns......their gun laws didn't effect their gun murder rate, the desire of their criminal underclass to murder one another effects their gun murder rate...and it is going up.....

After they banned guns.....you don't understand the issue, you never have....

U.K. Begins Another Gun Surrender Initiative Amid Increase in Gun Crime

The United Kingdom's National Ballistics Intelligence Service (NABIS) is conducting a new gun surrender program from Nov. 13 to Nov. 26 after gun crime in England and Wales increased by more than a quarter in the past year.

The Office for National Statistics found a 27 percent increase in crimes involving firearms during its most recent review of crime data. Despite a near ban on the civilian ownership of handguns the review found crimes committed with handguns increased by 25 percent and accounted for the majority of gun crimes. The agency said the increases in 2016 were part of a multiyear trend.
