Because his lawyers were given an abstract (short version) of the warrant that did not contain supporting documentation and the specifics of what they were looking for.. The actual warrant has been withheld from even Trump. This means they are acting unlawfully.

The warrant abstract indicates only papers that belong to the National Archives, which none were found. Everything else they took, was taken absent a warrant. This thing is blowing up in their faces today.

An affidavit has to say more than that. The informant would have to say he or she read the documents and knew they were confidential and witnessed Trump putting them in a box and sealing it. Putting documents in the safe. He or she personally witnessed Melania hiding state secrets in her underwear drawer. What does the affidavit say? Who is the informant?

No actually that makes no sense what so ever. You're saying you realize there is essentially no information contained in a federal search warrant (the one that's given to the person that's served the warrant) that is of any use to anyone and also saying there's some hint of guilt because someone doesn't release a copy of the warrant they were served?

Interesting. I would have thought that anything the Government seized as a part of the execution of a search warrant would have to be compiled and a list of items would have to be provided to the person they were taken from.

I imagine they will in the coming days. Is there some reason that Trump's lawyer can't make it public now? I'm obviously not an attorney, so I don't know what laws are governing that, but it would clear up a lot. Of course, if it's likely revealed that the FBI had probable and just cause to do this search will it even matter to the Trump supporters?
