All those, whether left are right, who would demand/force others to accept their preference, ideology, beliefs, mindset or else they must be punished, banned, ostracized, cancelled, destroyed, are unacceptable to the American philosophy of unalienable rights. Every society has the right to set the laws/policy under which it wants to live or that protect unalienable rights, and that is usually done by majority consent. That society has the right to enforce its laws established by majority consent whether that is done by a full vote of citizens or via the people's representatives. But nobody has an ethical right to demand that anybody appreciate or like those laws or share any other opinions/beliefs/ideology.
